LUV U WHATEVER (3.30) has been in grand form lately and makes plenty of appeal in an interesting 1m 3f handicap at Southwell.
There are a few usual suspects in the line-up, with Keith Dalgleish's course winner Acker Bilk priced up favourite overnight. He is penalised for beating Epitaph and there shouldn't be much between that pair on revised terms.
Luv U Whatever beat Compatriat over course and distance and his form with Native Fighter at Kempton in February was given a boost when that horse won last week. Harrison Shaw takes off a valuable 7lb but Luv U Whatever and Acker Bilk both like to lead so I hope they don't take each other on from the gate.
The youngster is also aboard my other selection HOLIDAY MAGIC (4.00).
The grey has looked little bit laboured in his last couple of runs but didn't get a lot of racing room when beaten a pair of necks by Mister Music and Hammer Gun six days ago.
Holiday Magic is 10lb better off with Mister Music, so should reverse that form. Volatile beat him by less than a length 13 days ago but my selection meets that winner on 9lb better terms.
The tough and admirable Spare Parts would be a threat if taking to the Fibresand, but it's an unknown.

im with alan on HOLIDAY MAGIC i couldnt believe he lost last time out when johnb tipped him ,he is 10lbs better off with mister music, cant believe it im all over this one ,so he is my nap /nb 10/3,im sure johnb will probably tip him aswell
I have posted but not showing, sorry it has to be Volatile for me
Hi John, any chance you could post a quick reasoning for Volatile? It would be very helpful to myself and maybe other members in improving our picks.
We have one tipster v another in the 4.00 and I can’t see past Holiday magic as Alan said, beat by half a length on almost even terms, now 9lbs better off than volatile.
Just in my opinion Volatile has more improvement, looking at the two horses previous runs i see Hiliday Magic as consistent, he is still capable of winning races but only certain races, his form has levelled out for a while, no improvement just consistent,
Whereas Volatile since switching yards has been transformed, looking at his previous runs for this yard it’s roughly the same level of improvement each time, his last run was his best so far and the same level of improvement again would be enough to cover the weight difference, also that last run I think Volatile won easier than it looked, he just seemed to idle in front but at the same time would never have let Holiday Magic past him
There is no reason to think Volatile won’t improve again, he is only a 4yo with 12 runs compared to Holiday Magic a 7yo with 43 runs
I would have preferred Volatile not to be in stall 1 but hopefully the jockey will get him into a good position so he has the middle of the track down the home straight as you never want to be on that rail
Cheers for the reply John, sounds like it will be an interesting race, think reverse forecast will be my bet. Best of luck for it and your others today.
Hi John.
I’m pretty new to the races, but due to the lack of good footy matches this week I thought I’ll give it a go.
Just wondered if you could share your thoughts on this little EW acca I’m try today ?.
2:00 – Southwell – Branscombe
2:30 – Southwell – kion
3:00 – Southwell – king street lady
4:00 – Southwell – volatile
Not a tip but a bit of info.
Rolling Dylan favourite in the 2-45 Hereford comes here after a win a 3 runner race beating a regressing flintham.
He has won 4 from 15 races and never won 2 on the bounce.
Richard Johnson on tomorrow, he has been on the horse 8 times and never won.
Geordie des champs won last time also but is unreliable
I may have a small wager on three ways at 4-1 in the hope that a recent wind op sparks improvement and trainer jamie snowden has had 2 wins from 5 runners in last week and 2x 2nds too.
Like I say not a nap though it could well be and I gladly welcome any input from you guys.
Three ways (without Geordie des champs) 7-4 NAP.
also a few quid on the win 7-2.
Small loss on Monday which is never good but I can’t remember the last losing day so it’s not too bad

Westend Story on known form should win the 3.15 hereford but with Hobbs currently on 0-26 I’ll take a chance that the extra distance Jurby tackles today will make a race of it.
Jurby 11/4
Easter in Paris won the 3.45 race last year off a 4lb higher mark.
Fav is the main danger but was beaten 8L off this mark when last ran over fences so hopefully a repeat is on the cards
Easter in Paris 3/1

Double Carpet
iagree with you hobbs yard is in terrible form he cant buy a winner at the minute.
Elvis, i think if rolling dylan travels and jumps like he did lto i think he should win this ,but like you said he never won two on the bounce,im going to have a small wager on the outsider 14/1
And Dylan is trained by Hobbs !!, and Johnson 0-8 on the horse..
I’m going three ways (without Geordie des champs) 7-4 as my nap.

Well done to all the winners today
Tipsultan 5-1 and DC 7-1.
Nice tipping guys.
Though John b might have stuck up Archimedes again today, he backed it twice recently, Robert the Bruce and all that 3rd time lucky stuff.
Well done winners today
There is a card at Dundalk tomorrow DC you had a look as that track seems to be your speciality.
All unraced in the first so I may go for an outsider. Surely 11/8 is too short for an unraced horse?
Chilleden
You have to respect Lyons 2yr olds at Dundalk with a 24% strike rate and the way he’s started the year it looks like his yard is going well.
Still the market will give the best clues as to it’s chances.
Not one to put the mortgage on though
WELL DONE D C + TIPSULTAN
