REY LOOPY (8.45) boasts a fine record at Newcastle and Ben Haslam's three-year-old can defy a 6lb penalty in the 7f handicap.
He returned from a 86-day absence to bolt up over a mile and he is also a course and distance winner over this shorter distance. Rey Loopy has scope for a little more improvement and is usually a strong traveller.
Alistair Whillans has his string in good form and Gun Case also carries a fixed penalty for his course and distance victory last week. He should go well again.
