THE focus is on League One and League Two today and that's tricky for punters who usually concentrate their English efforts on the Premiership.
I've been studying form and stats this week and two teams who sit proudly on top of their respective tables could win again today.
Let's start with League One leaders Peterborough who always seem to be a streaky side – they score a load or not at all.
The start of this season it's been the form with four wins from four and 12 goals scored. They travel to Darren Ferguson's Doncaster who were unbeaten until last week's disappointing defeat at Wimbledon.
Peterborough boss Grant McCann is targeting promotion and I reckon his side will strike at Keepmoat while the iron is hot. Take Posh at 23-10 at Betfred.
League Two leaders Exeter have started with three wins and a defeat and fought back from 2-0 down to win at Cheltenham last week.
They face a test today against second-placed Newport but should have the edge against a side who avoided being sent into the Conference on the last day of the season. Exeter are 6-4 at William Hill.
For goals best bet could be Wycombe v Forest Green. Gareth Ainsworth’s home have scored and conceded at least twice in every game while new boys Forest Green have seen three of their opening four games going over 3.5 goals.
Wycombe's last three have totalled 16 while FG's previous two have totalled 13. Both to score and overs should come in at 13-10 with boylesports and they're on the btts English treble.
Recommended Bets
- Peterborough
- Exeter
- Wycombe v Forest Green over 2.5 goals
