Am going for Grand Introduction Taunton 2.10 15/8 Skybet
This horse ran in quite a hot Novice hurdle last time especially for Southwell ran a decent race form could not have worked out much better 2 winners have came out the race already with the winner Singlefarmpayment winning a class 2 at Cheltenham.
This race looks terrible hopefully he might make all the running and 15/8 will look a big price tomorrow.

Good day on the thread yesterday. Today I’ll keep my mouth shut as I’m busy but I do have a nap.

    Chelmsford 2.55 cottesloe 10/1

I’ve seen its against jbs nap and my reasoning for this horse is the same as my Monday pick by rights. Which won.

I like bottom weights and more specifically bottom weights that have run good races when racing near the top of the weights in runs before this. Just like this horse. I know it means it’s meant to be the worst horse in the race but it’s a method that works for me and I’m sure trainers do this for a very good reason. To get the win.

I’ve backed it 1pt win and 1pt place.

    Fingers crossed.

    GL today

Treve, Flintshire, Dolniya, Manatee, Meleagros, Feodora ?

    From a Group 1 at Saint-Cloud to a class 5 at Kempton

Yes the most talked about horse today is making that transition and runs in the 5:10

ALTAIRA 16/1 rated 66 today last run was against those horses, but was beaten 132 lengths by Treve that day, that’s over 2 furlongs behind the double Arc winner and used as a pacemaker
    Can the horse win?
    I don’t think so

My pick Bamako Du Chatelet is on a very low mark of 58

Great story we all dream about.
Everyone who goes to the track has dreams of winning big. They want their horse to take first place and the odds be high enough that they walk away rich.

In the past, dreaming of a big win hasn’t been enough for some. These people have actively tried to skew the odds in their favour through a coup. Some coups are out and out illegal while others are legal even if they are on shaky moral ground.

Once uncovered, these coups quickly gain legendary status because people seem enthralled by these men who play such a high stakes game between right and wrong to win big. Here’s a famous betting coup that falls in the illegal category.

    Gay Future, an Imposter Horse
This is the story about a horse called Gay Future and how it was the centre of a huge betting sting in the 1970s.

    The Players
Tony Murphy was an Irish millionaire who made his money from construction. He worked closely with Antony Collins who trained the horse in question, called Gay Future. Tony Murphy was considered the leader of the group that numbered five people and later came to be called the Cork Syndicate or the Cork Mafia.

Over the period of a year, Murphy carefully planned what should have been the perfect betting coup and might have been if not for some small mistakes. Gay Future was born and raised at the stables of Edward O’Grady.

    Ahead of the Big Race
Over the course of a year, these two men had sent an inferior horse to races in Scotland to ensure Gay Future would appear to be a long shot. This helped to establish reviews of Gay Future as a poor performer and raise the odds of him winning.

Both horses were chestnut colored and shared similar marking. You have to remember that this was the 1970s, and there weren’t a lot of circulating photos of the horses. On race day at Cartmel, the odds of Gay Future winning were 10/1.

    Race Day
On race day in August of 1974, these men used soap to make it appear that the horse was sweating up and keep betters uninterested in the horse. They bet on Gay Future as part of a double or triple ticket with Opera Cloak and Anderwyke who were later withdrawn from the race, making it a single bet as per the custom of the time.

Murphy had six friends circling throughout the United Kingdom, making small bets of around £5, £10 and £20. These were small enough not to arouse suspicion. Since all of the bets were made off site, the bookies that determined the odds – i.e. at the track – didn’t notice the flutter of activity around Gay Future.

    Suspicions Aroused
The trainers claimed the reason for Opera Cloak and Anderwyke removal from the race was that their horse trailer had broken down on the side of the road. This was one of the first things to unravel when a reporter called the horses’ home stables to find that the horse had been at the stable all day long. The reporter’s curiosity had been roused when news of the big winnings for Gay Future turned out to be linked to bets with these two horses.

Viewers at the racetrack were shocked when Gay Future won the race by 15 lengths. His reviews in past races had made this seem almost impossible. Of course, the viewers didn’t know that they were watching a different horse race than the one who had been reviewed.

Initially, the coup worked and the men collected an equivalent of $3 million in today’s money although some bookies refused to pay out when they learned of the scam. Eventually, Murphy and Collins were brought up on charges of trying to defraud the betting establishments. Both men were fined and banned from racing in Britain for a period of 10 years – although some might say they were lucky they weren’t convicted of attempted fraud. Just goes to show the fine line between a clever legal betting coup and stepping over that line into the unlawful.

This is so true Hugh Taylor is undoubtedly one of the best tipsters around with a superb record over the last six years of over 1900 points profit at a return on investment of over 29%.

Sadly though it doesn’t seem profitable to follow his tips, unless you are incredibly fast at getting your bets on as soon as his tips are sent out.

However, even if you did that we expect the bookies would catch on pretty quick and you could have your accounts limited as you can be sure the bookies are aware of Hugh’s tips.

So unless Hugh considers a more selective service – perhaps paid and limited to a certain number of members – then it is probably one to leave alone unfortunately

    Pactolas (NAP)

Stuart Williams was holding all the cards in this race with the front two in the betting, but the withdrawl of Oakley Girl it now means there is a 30p rule 4
That’s disappointing because although Oakley Girl was favourite, I was confident in Pactolus being his main horse.

Winner of a handicap class 5 then a class 4 he went back to Chelmsford for a class 2 last time out, beaten only 2 lengths by Power Game and only just behind Ansaab and Solar Deity.
What makes that run so eye catching was that Pactolus was running from 8lb out of the handicap, he was also running tight to the inside rail down the straight so was also on the slower ground.

Today he is back down to a class 4 and with him due to go up 4lb after today means he is 4lb well in on the handicap “carrying 4lb less” which makes him the standout horse in the race and now the worthy favourite

30p rule 4 means we are getting 2.7/1 on an even money favourite

Linfieldaces the amount of rides she is now picking up tells you what the trainers think of her and her 6 pound claim which wont last long at this rate.
She has a great strike rate and level stakes profit for todays trainer Phil McEntee shame a’m not a big lover of the all weather buts shes defo 1 to keep your eye on.

    Cat O’Mountain (NAP/NB)

It’s good to see him back, an old favourite of mine who came 3rd in the 2014 Dubai World Cup

Before I started tipping on here we had some good wins with him at Kempton in a couple of class 3 handicaps
He then went to Meydan where he won on debut but the highlight was his 3rd in the World Cup after being held up near the back and was given far to much to do by Barzalona

On his last run in October 2014 he won the Group 3 Diamond Stakes at Dundalk when rated 111
He may have top weight but for a horse of his class he isn’t giving away a lot of weight to his rivals

It will be hi first run on dirt but this boy is bred for dirt
but can run on any surface.
He does have a 468 day absence to overcome but I don’t double stake a horse for the fun of it

Below is his run in the 2014 Dubai World Cup
