BARCELONA booted a hole in my Super Single profits and the Top Treble never got going.
Results overall weren't too bad but I put faith in the wrong teams with Roma being booed off by their fans after settling for a draw against BATE that sealed their last-16 spot.
Mind you they were lucky as a Bayer winner against Barca, and they came close, would have knocked the Italians out. The Barca result again emphasises the importance of team news because after seeing the starting line-up I was less confident of them winning.
My £10 to £100 challenge on the forum was a winner but the Betting Club is bust again after Valencia failed to give Gary Neville the winning start he craved.
And Greg Browning bounced back to top form with a winning goals nap on the FC United of Manchester game that was in before half-time.
I prefer Champions League to Europa League but find myself wanting to fare better tonight. I've posted a Fenerbahce v Celtic preview and a separate article detailing who has qualified, who is out and what the others need to do to make it. It's worth reading before placing your bets.
Team news for the British teams says Celtic will play their strongest available team while Spurs and Liverpool won't tinker too much. Harry Kane will be rested by Spurs though and Daniel Sturridge will miss a trip to Switzerland with an injury.
After looking at a lot of team news and match previews I've decided to accept the big price on Partizan Belgrade to beat Augsburg. The Serbs will clinch runners-up spot in Group L with a draw at home to Augsburg, a 2-0 defeat or any one-goal loss having won 3-1 in Germany.
Partizan have endured a poor season but have won four of their last five games in all competitions and face a side battling to beat the Bundesliga drop. Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl insists that's his priority and he's been fielding weakened sides in Europe.
He's already missing quality midfielders Dominik Kohr and Alex Esswein through suspension and with Partizan hopefully going for the win they look big. I'm putting 1pt on the home and 1pt on Partizan not to lose.
It's not an easy card with 16 teams already through but I'm on Fenerbahce to beat Celtic, Rapid Vienna at home to Dinamo Minsk and Anderlecht at home to Qarabag. All three have something to play for against sides who have exited.

They average 8.9 corners scored at home and home games regularly go over this line.
In there last 7 games this has gone over on 6 occasions and the time it didn’t was due to a poor opponent who couldn’t muster corners. Besiktas aren’t the greatest team for away corners but they sit top of the group with Sporting chasing them to qualify and could get knocked out by Sporting tonight if they lose so they have an incentive. Also worth looking at is Sporting over 6.5 team corners at odds of 2.00 as they have hit 7 or more in 11 out of there last 12 home games.

Another Europa League night, another night of Molde being overpriced. The Norwegians had already qualified when they lost 2-0 at home to Fenerbache in matchday five. Tonight they’ll play in Amsterdam knowing that a win or draw will see them qualify top of the group which will put them ahead of Ajax on goal difference after securing a 1-1 draw at home. Ajax are a formidable force at home this season in their domestic league and have scored 19 goals in their last five at the Amsterdam arena, winning 5-2 on the weekend against Heerenveen. By no means the most solid team in defence though and Molde do have the players to hurt you, which we saw at Celtic Park and in Istanbul where they won with conceding in both games. From 3rd in the table Sporting could top the group with a win over current leaders Besiktas or at the very least ensure qualification depending on how the other match goes. The meeting in Turkey finished 1:1 and I think both will score again tonight. They scored 39 goals in 19 games with Eilers (14) and Testroet (8) scoring more than half of their goals. Both are fit to play. They managed to score 2+ in 12 of their 19 games. They scored 2+ in 6 of their 10 away games and at least 1 goal in all their away games except the last one. The last 3 games Dresden only managed to score 1 goal, but they played against number 2,3 and 4 of the league. They scored 2+ against all bottom half teams except against Cottbus.
