We are now officially into the second week of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships, and hopes of a British singles champion are still alive.
Arthur Fery has defied the odds to reach the fourth round of the men's singles, overcoming Zizou Bergs in the third round despite being 2-1 and two breaks down in the fourth set.
Fery returns to action today, where he will meet the popular Grigor Dimitrov on Centre Court, looking to keep his dreams alive. Elsewhere, there is plenty of other action in the women's and men's draws, including the return of Alexandra Eala, Iga Swiatek's conqueror.
Before play gets underway, check out our Wimbledon day 8 betting tips below.
Grigor Dimitrov vs Arthur Fery – Over 38.5 games (5/6)
Grigor Dimitrov came through a brutal five-set match with Matteo Berrettini in the last round, which has naturally raised some question marks about how the Bulgarian will deal with this Arthur Fery clash from a fitness point of view.
Dimitrov has a long history of injuries, and after going to the well against Berrettini to get the win, he will be feeling the effects. Arthur Fery, just 23 years old, should be able to cope better with the effects of his five-set third-round triumph, particularly with the adrenaline of playing on Centre Court for the first time helping him along.
Fery's chances of pushing Dimitrov deep go beyond the Bulgarian's fitness woes, though. The Brit has been brilliant on the grass all summer, losing just three of the 12 matches he has played on the surface. In just one of those three encounters did he lose in straight sets, displaying a willingness to dig in.
Alexandra Eala to beat Jasmine Paolini (5/8)
Alexandra Eala played the match of her life to down Iga Swiatek in the third round, and although there is always the risk of a comedown, she should have too much for Jasmine Paolini, even if she plays at around 75% of the level she produced against Swiatek.
For all of Paolini's strengths, her game can be attacked on grass. She is just 5ft 4, and her serve often lets her down on this surface.
Eala, meanwhile, is clearly loving life on grass. Her one and only WTA final was at Eastbourne last year, while she won a challenger event in Birmingham just last month.
Marie Bouzkova to beat Elise Mertens (11/10)
We are giving Marie Bouzkova the edge over Elise Mertens in a match that has the potential to go all the way on Tuesday afternoon.
It's difficult to understand how Bouzkova is going off as the underdog here, as she has won nine of the ten matches she has played on grass this summer, a run that saw her lift the WTA title at Nottingham last month.
She has been electric at Wimbledon, particularly in the big moments, so she won't be fazed if this one goes the distance.
