Wimbledon tennis tips

The middle Saturday at Wimbledon is often regarded as the best day of the championships, as crowds flock to SW19 to see which players will make it through to the second week of the tournament.

After his disappointing defeat in the second round, Jack Draper will not be in action on Saturday like many originally thought he would be. His conqueror, Marin Cilic, will be in action, though, as he takes on Jaume Munar.

The 24-time Grand Slam winner, Novak Djokovic, will also be in third-round action on day six, as will women's number eight seed, Iga Swiatek.

Ahead of the action getting underway at 11:00 BST, check out our Wimbledon day 6 tips below.

Wimbledon day 6 tips: Our picks

Novak Djokovic 3-1 Miomir Kecmanovic (3/1)

Novak Djokovic put in his best performance since beating Carlos Alcaraz in Australia on Thursday, downing Britain's Dan Evans in straight sets. While Djokovic was always expected to win comfortably, his consistency and ball-striking were far better than it was in his opening-round win against Alexandre Muller.

On Saturday, he faces his toughest opponent yet in Miomir Kecmanovic, and we don't envisage it being as straightforward. For starters, Kecmanovic is ranked more than 100 places higher than Evans, and he has taken sets off Djokovic in the past, most recently at the 2022 Belgrade Open – Djokovic's home tournament.

As compatriots, these two know each other more than most, which could also give Kecmanovic more insight into where he could have some joy against Djokovic.

Jannik Sinner vs Pedro Martinez Portero – Under 27.5 games (1/1)

At this stage of the tournament, Jannik Sinner looks like the man to beat on the men's side of the draw and he has emerged as the new favourite with top tennis betting sites. While Carlos Alcaraz can't be ignored, he hasn't come close to reaching the levels that the Italian has produced over his opening two matches at Wimbledon.

In his second round match with Aleksandar Vukic, the world number one only needed one hour and 40 minutes to get the job done, cruising home 6-1, 6-1, 6-3. In his opening round match, he only needed two more games to get the win, beating Luca Nardi 6-4, 6-3, 6-0.

The fact he has only needed 23 and 25 games in his two opening matches at Wimbledon makes the price of 1/1 on him beating Portero in under 27.5 games very appealing.

Danielle Collins to beat Iga Swiatek (21/10)

The women's singles tournament at Wimbledon has been a bloodbath for top seeds so far, with Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini and Qinwen Zheng all already out. The early exits for seeds 2-5 mean that Iga Swiatek is now the fourth-highest seed left in the tournament, but could she be next to be knocked out?

While there is no doubt about Swiatek's ability on other surfaces, she has never managed to master playing on grass. Danielle Collins, on the other hand, has a game that lends itself to grass, with the American known for her powerful ground strokes.

If things click for Collins early on in this match, then Swiatek will be in serious trouble.
