With the transfer window set to reopen on Monday, let's take a look at where the value could lie ahead of what promises to be a busy summer.
Viktor Gyokeres To Join Arsenal – 5/2
Having racked up an eye-watering 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting Lisbon, Viktor Gyokeres was always going to be the subject of a big-money move this summer. Tipped by many for a reunion with former boss Ruben Amorim at Manchester United, the Swedish sharpshooter has reportedly rejected the chance to join the Red Devils.
Gyokeres is said to favour a move to Arsenal, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta now expected to step up his pursuit for the prolific striker. The 27-year-old is still as big as 5/2 to make the switch to the Emirates this summer and that represents terrific value given the current state of play in this transfer saga.
Bryan Mbeumo To Join Tottenham – 6/4
Tottenham appear to be making moves to hijack Manchester United’s bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. For the last few weeks, it looked almost inevitable that the Red Devils would wrap up a deal for one of their top transfer targets this summer.
However, Thomas Frank's move to Tottenham has thrown a spanner in the works, with the now former Brentford boss said to be keen on taking Mbeumo to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with him. An opportunity to reunite with Frank as well as the guarantee of Champions League football next season could well swing the balance in Spurs’ favour.
Mbeumo is currently a best price of 6/4 to make the move across the capital and there's good reason to believe that those odds should be much closer to the 4/6 on offer for him to end up at Old Trafford.
Mohamed Kudus To Join Newcastle – 3/1
Newcastle were one of the aforementioned Mbeumo’s other suitors and the Magpies’ failure to land the Brentford ace could trigger a transfer domino effect. It's believed Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is keen on adding a right-sided attacker to his squad this summer, with Mohamed Kudus now one of the names at the top of the Toon’s transfer wish list.
The West Ham forward has reportedly turned down the chance to make a money-spinning move to Saudi Arabia, with his preference to stay in Europe and play Champions League football.
While Newcastle could face stiff competition from Chelsea for Kudus’ signature, the Hammers hierarchy are reportedly not interested in any part-exchange proposal from the Blues. With that in mind, Kudus is an appealing prospect at 3/1 to pitch up at St James’ Park on or before deadline day.
Jack Grealish To Join West Ham – 28/1
With both West Ham and the above-mentioned Kudus reportedly open to the idea of parting ways before September, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Jack Grealish could be drafted in as a replacement. Having struggled for form and fitness over the last 12 months, the Man City winger is expected to depart the Etihad this summer.
A loan exit is something City are reportedly willing to consider and that makes a move to West Ham too big to ignore at 28/1. The Hammers were one of Europe’s top-10 spenders in the 2024 summer transfer window, so they may have to rely on loan deals to strengthen their squad to ensure that they comply with UEFA's FFP rules. On top of that, Man City are not expected to sanction a temporary exit for Grealish to any of their close competitors in the Premier League, which only adds to the appeal of the 28/1 price for him to land at the London Stadium.
