Manchester City will have to lift themselves up off the canvas when they entertain Bournemouth at the Etihad in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side suffered a shock 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, in a game that brought up two of my three selections.
However, City have no time to feel sorry for themselves as they chase down a spot in next season’s Champions League, while opponents Bournemouth have an outside chance of qualifying for next season’s Europa League.
Unsurprisingly, Man City are short-priced favourites on Tuesday night, however I’m going to bypass the 1×2 betting and instead opt for a familiar theme in the player fouls market.
Two or more fouls from Tyler Adams on Tuesday night is trading at an appetising 6/5 on Bet 365.
The Bournemouth midfielder has been among the most prolific offenders in the Premier League this season in terms of fouls conceded, committing an average of 2.12 per game.
In fact, the Cherries ace has committed multiple fouls in six of his last nine outings in the top-flight.
Drill a little deeper and it can be seen that Adams has been guilty of three or more misdemeanours in four of his previous nine Premier League appearances.
On top of all that, the all-action American has been shown a yellow card in three of his most recent five starts in the Premier League.
It’s also worth noting that Adams committed a couple of fouls during Bournemouth's 2-1 defeat to Man City in the FA Cup at the tail end of March.
Given the plethora of attacking talent that City have within their ranks, Adams should have plenty of defensive work to get through on Tuesday night.
So with all that in mind, backing Adams to fall foul of the referee twice or more at the Etihad represents excellent value at 6/5 on Bet 365.
