The 29-year-old was in devastating form during the final stretch of the Bundesliga season, almost single-handedly firing BVB into the top four.
The Guinean goal-getter ended the campaign with a mighty impressive return of 21 goals across his 30 appearances in the German top-flight this term, a tally bettered only by Harry Kane.
That goal haul is made all the more impressive by the fact Guirassy made the net bulge 12 times across his final 11 Bundesliga appearances of the season.
On top of all that, the Borussia Dortmund ace finished joint-top of this season's Champions League goalscoring charts, netting 13 times across his 14 appearances.
Thus, Guirassy is playing at the peak of his powers and brimming with confidence right now, making him too big to ignore for an anytime strike here at a shade below even-money.
Guirassy ‘s goalscoring exploits doesn’t bode well for a Fluminense side that have found clean sheets hard to come by on the domestic front this season.
In fact, Renato Gaucho’s side have failed to silence their opponents in eight of their opening 11 Brazilian Serie A matches of the season, including four of their last five.
That defensive fragility only adds to the appeal of backing the aforementioned Guirassy to open up his Club World Cup account at the first time on Tuesday evening.
