SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Falkirk’s clash with Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Falkirk vs Dundee (Saturday, 15:00)
Both seeking to build on their respective victories from last weekend, Falkirk and Dundee will face off in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
John McGlynn’s hosts will come into this clash having staged a second-half comeback to claim an impressive 2-1 win over Motherwell at Fir Park last time out.
As for Dundee, they pulled off a huge shock by inflicting a 2-0 defeat on Celtic last Sunday.
That means both teams will come into this tussle each targeting what would be back-to-back wins in the Scottish top-flight for the first time this season.
Falkirk hold little appeal at skinny 4/6 quotes with most firms on Saturday afternoon, so I’m instead going to highlight a player-based option that stands out at the odds on offer.
Dundee’s Imari Samuels can be backed at 5/6 with Ladbrokes to commit a minimum of one foul during this contest, a price that looks well worthy of support.
While the Dark Blues defender has not been a regular on the referee’s radar this season, I’m prepared to look beyond that here given the players that he is likely to be in direct battle with.
Expected to be stationed in the left-wing back role, Samuels is likely to come up against Falkirk’s Ethan Williams, who has drawn a combined total of five fouls across his four outings in this season’s Scottish Premiership.
On top of that, Falkirk’s Keelan Adams will also be in that area of the pitch, with the flying full-back earning his team five free-kicks across their last three home games.
As such, I think it is entirely plausible that the aforementioned Samuels oversteps the mark at least once during this Falkirk Stadium showdown.
What’s more, Falkirk are a team that attack with intensity and like to play on the front foot, so the Dundee defender should have no shortage of defensive work to get through here.
It's also worth noting that Samuels has committed exactly one foul in each of Dundee’s last two Scottish Premiership away games, and that only adds to the appeal of siding with the same selection on Saturday.
