Two clubs already eliminated from this year's Club World Cup meet in Washington on Thursday night as Wydad take on Al Ain.
Both of these sides have already been eliminated from this competition, after suffering heavy defeats against both Juventus and Manchester City.
The record Moroccan champions began their Club World Cup campaign with a 2-0 loss against Manchester City, thanks to first-half goals from Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku.
Amine Benhachem’s side were then beaten 4-1 by Juventus in their second group match on Sunday, on an evening our man SlipsTips landed a couple of winners.
Whilst Wydad have at least been competitive, the same cannot be said about Al Ain, as they have lost both their matches in Group G by an aggregate score of 11-0.
Vladimir Ivic’s men were beaten 5-0 by Juventus in their group opener, before losing 6-0 to Manchester City in their next group game.
How the bookies view it: Tough one to call
There’s not much to separate these two sides in the WDW markets, with BoyleSports making Wydad slight favourites at 13/10.
The same firm has an Al Ain success at a slightly larger 8/5, whilst the draw is 5/2.
Head to head: First competitive clash
Whilst this is the first ever competitive meeting between these sides, the pair did play out a 3-3 draw in a friendly 10 years ago.
Players to watch: Amrabat to role back the years?
Nordin Amrabat provided an assist in Wydad’s 4-1 defeat to Juventus last time out, and the ex-Moroccan winger is 4/1 at PaddyPower to open his account for his new side.
Soufiane Rahimi fired in 17 goals in all competitions for Al Ain last season, and the Moroccan is 9/5 at PaddyPower to score anytime against his compatriots.
Predicted line-ups
Ex-Watford and Hull winger Nordin Amrabat is the biggest name in the Wydad squad, and the Moroccan midfielder is likely to be deployed on the right wing once again.
Al Ain head coach Vladimir Ivic dropped goalkeeper Rui Patricio to the bench following their 5-0 defeat to Juventus in their group opener, but the ex-Portuguese international may come back in between the sticks here.
Wydad AC: Benabid, Moufi, Meijers, Oliveira, Boutouli, Moufid, Amrabat, Moubarik, Zemraoui, Lorch, Obeng
Al Ain: Patricio, Jasic, Niang, Rabia, Park, Zabala, Chadli, Nader, Traoure, Al Baluchi, Rahimi
Anything else catch the eye?
With the group already decided in terms of who’s progressing to the last-16, and Manchester City facing Juventus at the same time, you wouldn’t expect many to be interested in this clash.
However, that’s not to say this can’t be an entertaining clash, and given there have been 18 goals scored across both sides' matches in the group, the 8/11 at BoyleSports on Over 2.5 Goals seems a solid pick.
As alluded to, Wydad have been the more competitive of the two teams in Group G, and they are 11/10 to score at least twice against an Al Ain defence that has already shipped 11 goals.
