Uruguay finally got their first win in this year’s Copa America as they triumphed 2-0 over Bolivia. They took the lead just before the break thanks to an own goal from Jairo Quinteros while Edinson Cavani grabbed the second after the restart.
La Celeste appear be slowly moving away from their opening defeat to Argentina with a 1-1 draw against Chile preceding the win over Bolivia. Manager Oscar Tabarez will hope his team can build some momentum ahead of the knockout phase of the competition.
Uruguay have not been particularly exciting in Brazil but star strikers Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani are finally off the mark. They have also not been convincing at the back and have been breached by both the Chilean and Argentine attack.
Paraguay are also coming off a victory as they beat Chile 2-0 in their previous fixture. Braian Samudio opened the scoring in the first half while Miguel Almiron added the second from the penalty spot after the break.
