RANGERS have won all three games that Michael Beale has been in charge by a narrow margin of one goal – a haul which suits them ideally, given their injury problems.
But they will want to put down an Old Firm marker when Motherwell visit Ibrox on Wednesday night.
Beale has had a baptism of fire with pulsating wins over Hibs and that incredible victory at Aberdeen, before a more professional display at Dingwall saw them defeat Ross County 1-0.
But with an Old Firm showdown scheduled for Monday, Beale and Rangers could be doing with a confidence builder against Well.
In fairness to Beale and Rangers, it's very much a patchwork side he has inherited and he's been forced to play central midfielders in defence and he's been without top scorer Antonio Colak too.
But he will be delighted Rangers have got the job done and welcome the Lanarkshire side who can be very inconsistent.
They have won just one league game since October and their return from the World Cup break has been stop-start with games off and a remarkable throwing away of a two-goal lead against ten-man Kilmarnock last week by Stevie Hammell's men.
