QUEENS PARK RANGERS and Blackpool face off in an intriguing Championship clash, with both sides involved in late drama at the weekend.
While the Seasiders were left gutted by Olivier Ntcham's winner for Swansea, there was euphoria for QPR at Sunderland when keeper Seny Dieng nodded a last-gasp equaliser.
The Hoops trailed 2-0 at the Stadium of Light with just three minutes to play but Ilias Chair pulled one back before Dieng emerged as the unlikeliest of goal heroes.
New boss Michael Beale has recovered well since losing his first game away to Blackburn, taking four points from six, but it's now successive Championship defeats for Blackpool after kicking off with home win over Reading.
The Seasiders are also under new management this term, with Michael Appleton taking the reins after the departure of Neil Critchley to Aston Villa. And Appleton might want to hand a thank you card to Beale in the Loftus Road dugout as his decision to stand down as Steven Gerrard's right-hand man led to Critchley leaving for Villa Park.
But with three vital points up for grabs, there will be no sentiment on the pitch as QPR and Blackpool both bid to find some consistency.
How the bookies view it
Queens Park Rangers are favourites with home advantage but still look a decent price at 11/10 with Coral. Blackpool are as big as 37/13 with SBK while the draw pays 13/5 at the same firm.
Recent head to head
QPR have held the edge of late in this fixture, losing just two of the last 13 meetings and winning six of those matches. Last season they won 2-1 (below) at Loftus Road, despite playing the last 50 minutes with 10 men, after drawing 1-1 in Blackpool.
Players to watch
Lyndon Dykes should lead the line again for QPR and the Scotland striker will be looking to grab his second goal of the season. He's 21/10 at Bet365 for anytime scorer and 11/2 with the same firm to break the deadlock.
Scoring has been a problem for Blackpool this season, with just one goal in their first four games. But Jerry Yates weighed in with eight goals last term and looks their best bet for a goal at 3/1 with Paddy Power.
Anything else catch the eye?
Championship games are usually pretty close and backing the half-time draw paid off for me when West Brom hosted Watford. That bet has also come up in Blackpool's last two games and a repeat in this match pays 6/5 with Bet365.
Given Blackpool's lack of firepower so far this season, betting against BTTS appeals 23/20 with BetVictor while under 2.5 goals is 8/9 with SBK.
QPR striker Dykes likes a battle and picks up a few yellow cards for elbows. He's 4/1 at Paddy Power to be carded in this one and that's a decent option.
