Partick Thistle vs HeartsScottish Cup, KO: 19:05 Mar 4, 2019, Firhill
THE Scottish Cup has offered Partick Thistle some respite from their Championship troubles, with the Jags fighting to avoid the ignominy of a second successive relegation.
The visit of Hearts to Firhill will bring back recent memories of Premiership football and the high of reaching the top six under Alan Archibald.
But a return to the top flight seems a distant dream at the moment as Gary Caldwell bids to stop Thistle from sliding into League One.
Their progress in the Scottish Cup has been pretty serene thus far, with wins over lower-league opposition in the shape of Stranraer and East Fife.
So the Jambos will be a distinct step up in class and it's hard to see the Jags stopping Hearts from reaching their second domestic cup semi-final this season.
Craig Levein's side were unlucky not to take a point from Celtic in midweek, having played most of the game with 10 men, and should have too much class and power for Thistle.
With the Tynecastle side a best 8/13 with Boylesports for a win, you have to get a wee bit creative to find more value.
Hearts to win at both half-time and full-time looks a decent shout at 31/20 with Ladbrokes while a Jambos victory with a clean sheet is a decent 9/5 with Boylesports. William Hill also offer a tempting 13/8 on Hearts scoring in both halves which looks worth a nibble.
Steven Naismith is a big injury doubt for Craig Levein after being forced off at half-time in the defeat by Celtic with a knee injury. The Scotland star would be a big miss but Hearts have plenty more firepower.
Uche Ikpeazu caught the eye against the Hoops and the big striker is 11/2 to break the deadlock at Firhill with William Hill and a decent 9/5 for anytime scorer.
Arnaud Djoum is always a threat from midfield and the Cameroonian could be worth a punt at 3/1 in the anytime scorer market.
This Scottish Cup match between Partick Thistle and Hearts will be played on Mar 4, 2019 and kick off at 19:05
