PARIS ST GERMAIN start their annual quest for their holy grail when Juventus travel to France for the opening fixture in their Champions League group fixture.
For all their domestic dominance in Ligue 1, PSG have been a laughing stock in their main objective to finally lift this trophy given the oceans of millions they have spent to do that.
They are usually outstanding though in the group stages, but when the pressure mounts in the business side of the competition, they flop spectacularly. This season, they have started on fire on their way to what will presumably be a romp to another title. They have won six and drawn the other in seven games in all competitions and rattled up plenty of goals.
Juventus are unbeaten in their start to Serie A although they have only actually won two of their five games. They were held to a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina at the weekend.
Despite topping a group that included Chelsea in it last season, they were surprisingly well beaten by Villarreal in the Round of 16.
