Manchester City vs Dinamo ZagrebUEFA Champions League, KO: 20:00 Oct 1, 2019, Etihad Stadium
THE top two in Group C go head to head after both started in style with resounding wins on matchday one.
City eased to a 3-0 victory away to Shakhtar Donetsk while Dinamo were dynamite as they blitzed Atalanta 4-0 at home with Mislav Orsic leading the way with a terrific hat-trick.
That stunning victory is already a huge improvement on the Croats' last group-stage campaign in 2016 where they lost all six games and failed to even score a goal.
However, it would be a monumental shock if they leave the Etihad with anything other than a defeat. The visitors, who have dropped points in half of their opening six Croatian top-flight away matches, are a whopping 40-1 at Ladbrokes and even a draw is 12-1 at Betfair.
City, though, have been in rampant mood since their surprise and sloppy 3-2 Premier League defeat at Norwich, reeling off four straight wins while scoring 17 and keeping three clean sheets.
They are a laughably short price of 1-11 so value must be sniffed out elsewhere. The English champions are 3-4 at William Hill to win both halves, which should land, and the win to nil also appeals at 5-6 with BetVictor considering City's superb defensive record.
Those who fancy Dinamo to at least grab a consolation goal can get 21-20 at Coral for the Croats to net or 6-5 at Paddy Power for both teams to score. And for Orsic to follow up his matchday hat-trick, it's 6-1 for him to net any time.
Pep Guardiola isn't a manager who likes to mess about and the City boss will be keen to lock up top spot in the group as quickly as possible so he can concentrate on whittling away Liverpool's lead at the Premier League summit.
There's no value in any of the hosts' front three bagging a goal – Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling are all priced around the 1-2 mark – so instead try Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese playmaker has netted in City's last two home outings, helping him to a haul five goals in 10 games for club and country this season, and is 8-5 at Paddy Power.
This UEFA Champions League match between Manchester City and Dinamo Zagreb will be played on Oct 1, 2019 and kick off at 20:00
