Manchester City desperately need a win at home to AFC Bournemouth in this Premier League clash to stop a deeply disappointing season from turning into a disastrous one.
It was a traumatic weekend for Pep Guardiola's side as they not only lost the FA Cup Final to Crystal Palace but also dropped out of the Premier League top five.
Guardiola will end the campaign without a trophy for the first time since 2017 after losing 1-0 to Eagles at Wembley on Saturday, with two bets landing for Slips Tips.
And if City follow that up by losing to Bournemouth at the Etihad they will be in real danger of missing out on a place in next season's Champions League.
They sit sixth at the moment, one point off the pace, but have a game in hand on their top-five rivals so wins over Bournemouth and Fulham will get them over the line.
Bournemouth's hopes of European football suffered a blow with City's defeat at Wembley as that saw Palace hoover up one of the spots.
That means an eighth-place finish will only be enough if Chelsea win the Conference League and finish outside the top five.
But that could easily happen so Andoni Iraola will be chasing the win that would keep Bournemouth right in the hunt.
How the bookies view it: Pep's boys to bounce back
Despite suffering heartache on Saturday, Manchester City are BoyleSports' 1/2 favourites for this one. AFC Bournemouth are 9/2 outsiders and the draw is also pretty big at 10/3.
Recent head to head: Sweet 16 for City
The Cherries beat Guardiola's side 2-1 in the Premier League earlier this season but that was a rare moment of joy in this fixture. Manchester City have won 16 of the last 17 meetings, including a 2-1 triumph in the FA Cup at the end of March.
Players to watch: Fond farewell for De Bruyne?
This is the last time Kevin De Bruyne will play in front of the Etihad crowd and the Belgian will be determined to sign off in style. He's 11/4 at Bet365 for a goal but an assist may be more likely and that pays 11/8.
Antoine Semenyo has been a big success for Bournemouth this season, chipping in with 12 goals. He will fancy his chances against City's defence and is 4/1 at William Hill for anytime scorer. Bet365 also price him at a tempting 15/8 to either score or assist.
Probable line-ups
Mateo Kovacic sat out the FA Cup Final with a knock but Guardiola hinted the Croatian could return here. He's still missing Rodri, John Stones, Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb but should make a few changes to freshen things up.
Bournemouth have a few players sidelined, with Enes Unal, Luis Sinisterra, Ryan Christie, Dango Ouattara and Alex Scott set to miss out.
Manchester City: Ederson, Dias, Gvardiol, Nunes, O'Reilly, Kovacic, Doku, De Bruyne, B Silva, Marmoush, Haaland.
AFC Bournemouth: Kepa, Huijsen, Kerkez, Smith, Zabarnyi, Cook, Brooks, Adams, Kluivert, Semenyo, Evanilson.
Anything else catch the eye?
This fixture has produced plenty of thrills in recent years, with BTTS and over 2.5 goals landing in four of the last five meetings. Guardiola's defence still doesn't look convincing and that's why BTTS pays just 4/7 with BoyleSports for this one. Adding on over 2.5 strikes boosts the odds to 20/23 while BTTS with no draw is bigger at 6/5.
Bournemouth's Lewis Cook has been good value in the card market this season, with his name going in the book nine times. One of those yellows came in the FA Cup loss to City and he's 15/4 at Bet365 for another card here.
Iraola's side usually have a go so I like the 21/20 at BoyleSports on both sides winning over 1.5 corners in the first half.
