RANGERS have made a perfect start to the Premiership campaign but this treacherous trip to Livingston will be a real test of their title aspirations.
Facing Gary Holt's men on a plastic pitch at the Tony Macaroni is one of the toughest gigs around, with both Gers and Celtic slipping up there in the past two seasons.
Livingston haven't been at their best in the early weeks of the campaign, taking just a point from their first three games, but showed signs of getting back to their best in the midweek draw at Motherwell.
Steven Gerrard's side haven't put a foot wrong so far, winning all three of their games without even conceding a goal. With Celtic out of action again due to Boli Bolingoli's stupidity, they now have a chance to move eight points clear of their rivals and above Hibs at the top.
If Rangers can emerge from West Lothian with another win then it will raise hopes they can stop the Hoops marching to 10 in a row.
How the bookies view it
Gerrard's side are heavy favourites, at a best 4/11 with Betfred, while Livingston are 9/1 rank outsiders with Skybet. The draw is 9/2 at Betfair but I can see Rangers edging this one. Try backing them to be winning at half-time and full-time, which is evens at Bet365.
Recent head to head
Rangers have won on their last three visits to the Tony Macaroni but went four games without a victory there before that, with Livi winning 1-0 in Gerrard's first season at Ibrox (below).
Since that loss, Gers have won all six games between the sides, shipping just one goal in the process.
Players to watch
I steered clear of Alfredo Morelos (below) in the first few weeks as he seemed affected by transfer speculation. But that has died down and a double against St Mirren last weekend has made him just 8/11 with McBookie to score here.
Set-pieces are often crucial on the plastic pitches so it might pay to back Gers stopper Connor Goldson for a goal at 11/2 with the same firm.
Lyndon Dykes was linked with Rangers earlier this summer after impressing for Livi last season. But he could now move to another Rangers, the Queen's Park variety down south, and misses out here amid that transfer speculation.
Youngster Jack Hamilton has taken his place up front and the former Queen of the South loanee is 5/1 for a goal with Bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
Chances were at a premium on the plastic when Celtic slipped up at Kilmarnock last weekend. If the pitch is dry then it could be a frustrating day for Gers so try under 2.5 goals at 11/10 with Bet365.
Livingston never shirk a tackle and there could be a few cards in this one. Over 30 booking points, which will come up with over three bookings, is priced 5/6 at Paddy Power. William Hill also price at least one Livi booking in each half at 11/10.
The same firm are offering 6/5 on a header being scored and that's worth a punt in a game where set-pieces could prove pivotal.
