Girona continue their push for a top four finish as they travel to struggling Las Palmas for a La Liga fixture on Saturday. Girona have found things difficult in recent weeks but will be counting in their solid record in this fixture and should have the edge over Las Palmas, who are unconvincing at home.
Las Palmas are coming off a 4-1 defeat at Celta Vigo in their previous La Liga fixture. They struck early in the first half through Juanma Herzog but soon capitulated and went on to be breached four times.
That defeat was not a one-off as Las Palmas have struggled lately, failing to win any of their last eight matches. They are currently on a five match losing run but still hold a solid 12 point lead above the relegation zone.
Las Palmas have also struggled at the Estadio de Gran Canaria, where they have won just once in their last seven matches. They have been beaten five times in that run and head into Saturday’s clash off the back of three straight home defeats.
