Germany are playing catch-up in World Cup qualification and it would be a disaster if they dropped more points at home to Luxembourg.
Julian Nagelsmann's side started Group A in the worst possible fashion as they lost 2-0 away to Slovakia, the first defeat they had ever suffered in an away World Cup qualifier.
There was a hangover against Northern Ireland in their next game, with the score tied at 1-1 before goals in the final 20 minutes from Nadiem Amiri and Florian Wirtz sealed a 3-1 win.
Despite that win, the Germans still sit third in the second so Nagelsmann will be desperate to rack up three precious points at the home of Hoffenheim.
Luxembourg have lost both their qualifiers so far but only a last-gasp Tomas Rigo strike condemned them to a 1-0 defeat against group leaders Slovakia.
That will give them hope of frustrating Germany but it would be a major surprise if Nagelsmann's star-studded squad slipped up.
With players such as Florian Wirtz, Serge Gnabry and Karim Adeyemi in their ranks, the hosts should win this one with a bit to spare.
How the bookies view it: No hope for minnows
Luxembourg have been written off for this one and are priced at 66/1 by BoyleSports. Germany are just 1/20 and even the draw is huge at 14/1.
Head to head: Seven and hell
These side have faced off just twice since German reunification and the omens are not good for Luxembourg. They have lost 7-0 each time, with the most recent of those defeats coming in a 2006 friendly as Miroslav Klose, Lukas Podolski and Oliver Neumann all scored doubles.
Players to watch: Woltemade on a roll
Adeyemi has been in good form for Borussia Dortmund of late, with the winger scoring three times in his last five games. He's evens at BoyleSports for another goal here and that looks decent value.
Danel Sinani has a decent record at international level, netting 14 times for Luxembourg. The St Pauli forward is 9/1 with BoyleSports to add to that tally.
Probable line-ups
Gemany's squad has been hit by illness, with striker Nick Woltemade and keeper Oliver Baumann struggling to recover in time for this game.
Luxembourg are set to be without CSKA Sofia defender Mica Pinto.
Germany: Nubel, Anton, Tah, Schlotterbeck, Raum, Kimmich, Goretzka, Gnabry, Wirtz, Adeyemi, Burkardt.
Luxembourg: Moris, Jans, Mahmutovic, Olesen, Carlson, Bohnert, Sinani, Thill, Barreiro, Dardari, Muratovic.
Anything else catch the eye?
There's no doubt Germany aren't firing on all cylinders right now but they should still be too strong for Luxembourg side who have yet to pick up a point.
It's hard finding value with the home side such heavy favourites but BoyleSports price over 1.5 Germany goals in the first half at 21/20.
The corner count could rack up if Luxembourg defend deep and over 8.5 Germany corners is 6/5 at BoyleSports.
You often see a penalty when teams are defending deep and backing a spot kick in this game pays 11/10 at Paddy Power.
