FC Porto host Barcelona in a UEFA Champions League fixture on Wednesday with both teams looking to maintain winning starts in Group H. The Portuguese side are usually tricky opponents, especially at home but the Catalans are looking confident at the moment and should have the upper hand.
FC Porto made a winning start to their UEFA Champions League campaign as they picked up a 3-1 win at Shakhtar Donetsk. All the goals were scored in the first half with a brace from Galeno and a Mehdi Taremi effort earning them the points.
Given the quality of opposition in Group H, Porto are expected to progress to the knockout stage, although they would be keen to pip Barcelona to top spot. Sergio Conceicao’s men are unbeaten in seven of their last eight matches, claiming six wins in that run.
The one defeat for Porto in the midst of their recent good form came last weekend as they were beaten 1-0 at Benfica in a Primeira Liga fixture. An early Red card to Fabio Cardoso saw them play much of the encounter with 10 men and they could only muster two attempts on target.

Barcelona have also been solid on their travels this season with two wins and two draws in their last four away matches. They were held to a 2-2 La Liga draw at Mallorca in their previous fixture on the road.
