It's an exciting summer for Everton as they move into their new stadium and David Moyes will be looking for some morale-boosting wins in the Premier League Summer Series over in America as they step up their pre-season programme.
Four clubs are taking part in this Stateside tournament, with Everton's opening clash against Bournemouth followed by games against West Ham and Manchester United.
When Moyes replaced Sean Dyche at Goodison last term, there was a real danger the Toffees would be moving into their new home as a Championship club.
But his return to the club went so smoothly that Everton comfortably avoided the drop and finished in 13th place. The challenge now is building on that with limited funds in the transfer market and striker Theirno Barry is the only notable arrival so far.
For Bournemouth, the issues has been hanging on to their biggest stars and manager Andoni Iraloa after an excellent season that saw them finish ninth in the table.
The Cherries lost stopper Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid and left-back Milos Kerkez to Liverpool but have otherwise managed to keep last season's squad intact.
Tellingly, Iraloa also remains at the helm and the canny Basque coach will be looking to keep the club on the up as they bid to ruffle more feathers in England's top flight.
How the bookies view it: Cherries with the edge
Pre-season friendlies are always difficult to call, with managers using them to experiment a little, but BoyleSports have Bournemouth as favourites for this one at evens. Everton are priced at 9/5 and the draw pays 9/4.
Recent head to head: Bournemouth bogey men
Bournemouth have held the upper hand in this fixture of late, winning their last four meetings with Everton. The Toffees have also lost eight of their last 10 against the Cherries so they've been a real bogey team.
Players to watch: Beto out to pick up the gauntlet
Everton new boy Barry has arrived with a decent reputation after impressing for Villarreal but got extra time off after playing for France at the Under-21 Euros. Beto will probably start up front and will be out to show Moyes he deserves to hang on to his place. He could be worth a punt for a goal at 9/4 with Bet365.
Bournemouth received a big boost this summer when Antoine Semenyo signed a new deal and the powerful forward looks like their best bet for a goal here at 9/4.
Probable line-ups
Striker Enes Unal is still injured for Bournemouth while summer signings Djorde Petrovic and Adrien Truffert are likely to start. Captain Seamus Coleman is set to miss out through injury for Everton while back-up goalie Mark Travers could get some game time against his old club after moving from Bournemouth in the summer.
Everton: Pickford, O'Brien, Branthwaite, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Garner, Gueye, Alcaraz, McNeill, Ndiaye, Beto.
Bournemouth: Petrovic, Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Truffert, Christie, Adams, Scott. Semenyo, Kluivert, Evanilson.
Anything else catch the eye?
These matches are more about fitness than putting on a show but Everton's counter-attacking style could get a bit of joy against the Cherries. That makes BTTS worth a punt at 8/13 while combining that with no draw boosts the odds to 6/4 at BoyleSports.
There's not much between these sides and with only one pre-season game under their belt so far it could take time to warm up. That makes the half-time draw worth a punt at 23/20 with BoyleSports.
Both managers will probably make a raft of changes either at half-time or early in the second half. With new-look defences on the pitch it could pay to back most goals to come after the break at 21/20 with Bet365
