Crystal Palace vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

, KO: 20:00 , Selhurst Park
Wolverhampton Wanderers

Fresh off the back of their FA Cup triumph, Crystal Palace will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Eagles lifted the FA Cup for the first time in their 164-year history with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Man City at Wembley on Saturday, in a game that brought up two of my three recommended bets.

That famous victory has also rubber-stamped Crystal Palace's place in next season’s Europa League – a competition that current boss Oliver Glasnser won with Eintracht Frankfurt back in 2022.

As such, there is likely to be a party atmosphere when Palace return to their capital headquarters to play host to Wolves on Tuesday night.

The Old Gold have shown marked improvement since appointing Vitor Pereira as manager towards the tail end of 2024, with the experienced Portuguese boss steering his side to survival with room to spare.

That being said, Wolves will come into this clash off the back of a pair of Premier League defeats, the most recent of which was a 2-0 reverse at home to Brighton.

How the bookies view it: Palace party to continue

Crystal Palace – who have avoided defeat in each of their last five Premier League home matches – are 6/4 favourites with Boylesports to take top honours on Tuesday night.

Wolves arrive at Selhurst Park as 7/4 outsiders on Boylesports, while a share of the spoils has been priced up at 11/5 with the same firm.

Head to head: History favours the hosts

Crystal Palace have come away empty-handed from just one of their last eight Premier League encounters with Wolves, collecting maximum points from six of those contests.

The Eagles scored two goals during this season's reverse fixture and they merit consideration to repeat the trick on Tuesday night at 13/10 on Boylesports.

Players to watch: Eze in excellent form

FA Cup final hero Eberechi Eze has scored in each of his previous five outings for Crystal Palace across all competitions, making the Eagles ace an eye-catching option for a goal or an assist on Tuesday night at 7/5 on Bet 365.

Wolves will look to their own talisman Matheus Cunha for inspiration at Selhurst Park this midweek. The Brazilian forward is a 13/8 anytime goalscorer option on Boylesports.

Predicted line-ups

Crystal Palace boss Glasner could opt to freshen up his side after Saturday’s heroics at Wembley, though he will definitely be without injured duo Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure.

Wolves boss Pereira could be without as many as six first-team players for his side’s penultimate Premier League game of the season.

Crystal Palace: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Lerma; Munoz, Hughes, Kamada, Mitchell; Eze, Sarr; Mateta

Wolves: Sa; Doherty, Agbadou, Toti; Semedo, Andre, Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Munetsi, Cunha; Larsen

Anything else catch the eye?

Team news permitting, Daichi Kamada represents excellent value to pick up a card in this game at 6/1 on Bet 365.

The all-action Japanese midfielder has been cautioned in four of the last five matches that he has started for Crystal Palace.

What’s more, that five-game sample includes the Eagles’ most recent Premier League home game with Nottingham Forest.
