Coventry City continue their quest for a promotion playoff finish as they host Watford in a Monday night Championship fixture.
Coventry are coming off a 0-0 draw with Swansea City in their previous Championship fixture. They had the better chances and came closest to finding the winner when both Gustavo Hamer and Matty Godden were both denied by the goalkeeper.
While Coventry City will have preferred to win, the result means they have now lost just once in their last 11 matches. The draw also put them a point closer to a promotion playoff finish as Mark Robins men are now just three points off the top six.
Although Coventry City were beaten 4-0 by Stoke City in their previous home fixture, their record at home has been quite decent. That was their first defeat in six matches in front of their fans with a 2-1 win over Sunderland and a 1-0 victory over Millwall among their results in that run.
With just six matches left to play in the Championship this season, Watford still hold an outside chance of making the promotion playoffs. They are currently 12th, seven points off the top six and will need plenty of results to go their way in the final weeks of the campaign.
The problem for Watford is that their recent form has been far from stellar having claimed just two wins from their last 10 matches. They suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Huddersfield Town in their previous Championship fixture despite taking the lead through Yaser Asprilla.
Things are even worse for Watford on their travels as they are winless in their last seven away matches across all competitions. Chris Wilder’s men have suffered five defeats in that run and are currently on a run of three straight losses on the road in the Championship.

Players to watch
Viktor Gyokeres often carries the attacking threat for Coventry City and is their leading scorer with 18 Championship goals. The striker also scored the only goal in the reverse fixture and is priced at 7/5 by Unibet to find the net on Monday.
Keinan Davis has impressed for Watford in recent weeks, scoring in two of the last three Championship matches. The forward could be worth keeping an eye on to score anytime at 27/10 with Unibet.
