After a thrilling Europa League battle on Thursday, Barcelona turn their attention to domestic matters and their march towards the La Liga title. The Catalans face Cadiz on Sunday and should have too much quality for the struggling visitors.
Barcelona’s recent struggles in Europe continued on Thursday as they were held to a 2-2 home draw by Manchester United in the Europa League. They were made to come from behind with Raphinha netting the equaliser midway through the second half.
While Barcelona still have a chance in the second leg, they will now turn their attention to the La Liga and their steady march towards reclaiming the title. Xavi’s men are unbeaten in their last 12 matches, claiming 11 wins in that run, including a 1-0 victory at Villarreal last time out.
Camp Nou remains a fortress for Barcelona, who are yet to taste defeat in front of their fans this season. They have won eight of their last nine home matches in La Liga, keeping clean sheets in all eight wins.
Cadiz have a different battle on their hands as they attempt to put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone. They have claimed two wins from their last three La Liga matches and are now two points clear of the bottom three.
One of the wins for Cadiz was a 2-0 victory over Girona in their previous La Liga fixture. Both goals were scored in the first half through Gonzalo Escalante and Sergi Guardiola and they were able to hold on for the win.
The problem for Cadiz is that they have done their best work at home and continue to struggle on their travels. Sergio Gonzalez’s men have suffered three defeats in their last four away matches and were beaten 4-1 by Athletic Bilbao in their previous fixture on the road.

Barcelona have a 3-2 advantage with two draws from seven previous matches with Cadiz. The Catalans claimed a 4-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in September with Robert Lewandowski among the goals.
Players to watch
Robert Lewandowski is the leading scorer in La Liga with 14 goals but has found the net just once in the last six matches. The Polish striker does not go too long without finding the net and could be tipped to be back among the goals at 16/5 with Unibet.
