BRITISH No.2 Kyle Edmund can break into the world's top 40 for the first time in his career if he wins his quarter-final clash at the European Open today.
Edmund downed second seed David Ferrer in a third-set tiebreak yesterday to set up a last-eight showdown with Italy's Andreas Seppi.
It's the pair's first meeting and Edmund is favourite at 4-7 with Ladbrokes while Seppi is an 18-11 shot at Marathonbet and over 2.5 sets pays 6-4 at bet365.

It Otago win 27-20, closer than expected but all good. Was tempted by the spread so glad I didn’t indulge at -9.
NZ vs Aus rugby tomorrow and the All Blacks are almost certain to break the record for the most number of consecutive Test wins. Not a lot of value in the markets as most expect NZ to crush the Wallabies. Gonna take over 5.5 NZ tries at 4/5 (Bet365). Hopefully there will be a lot of tries so gonna have a few small punts on the anytime tryscorers market. Ben Smith 11/10 and Israel Dagg 4/6 look good to me.
