FIVE draws in the Champions League on Tuesday and a lack of goals in the English Championship made it a good night for bookies.
My superb both teams to score run ended in spectacular fashion but I don't think anyone have bet on the likes of Middlesbrough and Millwall to draw a blank.
I had some winners thanks to the likes of Olympiakos, Crystal Palace and Hull plus anytime scorers Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Sergio Aguero but generally it was a disappointing night.
Both Arsenal and Man City were held to draws after losing to the same teams a fortnight ago and I wonder if the same will be the case for Chelsea as they entertain Shakhtar Donetsk.
Robert di Matteo's men were well beaten in Ukraine which is why they are odds against at 21-20 with Betfred. It's easy to forget Chelsea are European champions but anything other than a win in the Group E clash could leave them struggling to qualify.
It's no banker but I'm willing to risk a Blues win but best bet could be both teams to score at 4-6 with Ladbrokes.
The other game sees Juventus entertain Nordsjaelland after being held 1-1 away. Juve are aiming to bounce back from their unbeaten 49-match Serie A record being ended by Inter and they should do so.
They are no bigger than 1-6 at Blue Square so I'll be looking at Juve -1 instead at 1-2 with Skybet.
Unlike Chelsea, Man Utd don't need a win after opening with three victories but Sir Alex Ferguson would love to get qualification done and dusted with two games to spare.
The Reds are a biggest 27-20 at William Hill and it's a fair price but I wouldn't be suprised by a draw (12-5, BetVictor). Braga were unlucky to lose after leading 2-0 at Old Trafford and are in a three-way fight for second place with Cluj and Galatasaray.
Cluj entertain the Turks and after a 1-1 draw in the last meeting it should be another close affair. However, I'm backng the Romanians to edge a vital victory and they are 17-10 with William Hill and BetVictor.
Celtic were seconds from picking up a memorable draw against Barcelona in the Nou Camp but the display hasn't impressed bookies with the likes of Ladbrokes and William Hill going a best 1-3 on the La Liga table toppers.
The loss of striker Gary Hooper and possible of absence of Georgios Samaras will blunt their attacking threat but as it was in Spain it should be all about defending for Neil Lennon's men.
Celtic are 10-1 at BetVictor while the draw pays 5-1 at Betfred but remember Barca (twice) are the only side to win a Champions League tie at Parkhead.
Lionel Messi failed to beat Fraser Forster in the first game but is just 4-6 at William Hill to score more than Celtic who are 11-10.
Celtic bagged the opener away and are 13-5 at Hills to do so again. Barca are 2-7 to break the deadlock and 4-5 with Hills to score in both halves.
Messi has promised to spit the dummy in celebration of his son’s birth if he hits the target and the striker is first-scorer favourite at 12-5 with bet365 ahead of David Villa (4-1, various). To net at any time he is no bigger than 1-2 with Coral.
The other Group G game sees Benfica probably needing a win against a Spartak Moscow side missing a couple of key players. Benfica are much stronger at home than on their travels so consider them at 4-7 (various) although the price is too short.
In Group F it's set up for home wins for Bayern Munich and Valencia against Lille and BATE although both are short prices. Bayern -1 pays 8-15 at bet365 while Valencia are no bigger than 2-7 (various) against a side they thumped 3-0 away.
There are only couple of games in England and you have to fancy League One leaders Tranmere at a managerless Hartlepool side that lost 6-1 to League Two Chesterfield in the FA Cup. They are a best 23-20 at Coral.
Double up with MK Dons who are 1-2 (various) at home to Orient.
In Scotland the SPL clash between Motherwell and Dundee Utd looks a draw and I'm going for both to score. Add Chelsea v Shakhtar and Sochaux v Evian for a treble.

Danny, just be careful with Betfred and the fixed odds offers. I’ve noticed they leave out some games most likely to produce btts so restricts your choice and makes it tougher to pick a winner.

Frank, firstly I don’t think I’d do it as a treble. The EPL as you know is incredibly tight and it’s almost impossible to pick a winner at the moment although for me it’s Man Utd or Chelsea. Inter are looking good after beating Juve but I’m not sure about Middlesbrough. They’ve faltered in the second half of the past few seasons and I don’t know if they have the strength in depth.

John, I think Celtic will be more concerned about stopping goals than scoring them. Lennon has Miku to call on if Samaras doesn’t make it. He has also has Tony Watt but can’t see him starting the youngster while Kris Commons can provide goals too.

Ian, at Celtic games you will always get shorter odds inside the ground. Two reasons: 1. It’s normally a one-sided book with home fans betting on the home team and 2. It costs Ladbrokes money to be in the ground so I suppose part of your stake actually goes to the club.

John, firstly it’s probably a tougher game for PSV than the prices suggest. It was 1-1 when they met in Holland so that sways me. PSV have conceded in three of their last four games while AIK have netted in their last five in a Swedish league that isn’t much weaker overall than the Dutch one.
