MY Daily Double won for the second night running but this time I put points on it.
I backed Mexico and England to win their Toulon Tournament semi-finals and both were 3-1 victors.
Mexico had it easier than the English who trailed 1-0 at half-time to Scotland before wearing down a younger and less experienced side.
England boss Aidy Boothroyd rested Tammy Abraham and Tom Davies and I assume they'll be back for what will be an interesting final. Mexico held England 0-0 in the groups and will fancy their chances after a string of good displays since then.
It's the turn of the England senior side tonight as they play their final friendly before heading to Russia. Costa Rica are the visitors to Elland Road and Gareth Southgate will make a raft of changes to the side that beat Nigeria 2-1 on Saturday.
He has confirmed a debut for Liverpool's 19-year-old defender Trent Alexander-Arnold while Jack Butland will take over from No.1 keeper Jordan Pickford.
Jamie Vardy is likely to start up top and could be worth a goal but best bet could be under 2.5 match goals.
Elsewhere Portugal face Nigeria and Iceland tackle Ghana and while I'd be happy to have no bet I'm doing the same as Tuesday and posting a double with no points advised.
It's England v Costa Rica under 2.5 goals and Portugal, who should start Cristiano Ronaldo,. I may add points once I see confirmed line-ups.

I spent the day in and around Leeds yesterday and drove past Elland Road on the way through to Armley and Wortley – those beatiful, scenic, affluent pockets of the City where I’m sure the visiting nation won’t be staying.
The ground will play host to this friendly international tonight and though I’m not a fan of backing such games, the right approach and lower stakes can often work as it did in the previous England friendly.
Costa Rica are no mugs and although their squad is a very different one to that which made the 2014 quarter finals, they can still cause problems and contain sides; any attacking players will have Real’s keeper Keyler Navas to face if the defence is breached!
As in the previous friendly, I can see plenty of offensive play without much actually converting towards the goal tally – corners are the market that interest me the most here:

From 2019 tv money will be split between premier league clubs according to their league positions,no longer will all 20 clubs get an equal share,about time.
What so the top clubs get richer and the rest can’t compete. It will turn the premier league into the most predictable league in Europe.
Why should a team that finishes 20th get the same as the team that finishes 1st,it’s all down to any individual team how they invest their money,look at Hull city they millions and millions didn’t invest in players and got relegated,(owners taking all the money),It will make the lesser clubs take note and learn to invest instead of pocketing the cash and that is the only reason why the top six are the top six because they invest money.
Hmmm not sure I agree with that Macca, Hull City if true is one extreme example. Vast majority of teams re-invest, and it’s very difficult for the lower teams who play by the rules and invest in their squad to get money if their games simply aren’t being shown on tv.

Slim pickings with Friday’s card but there’s one game that catches my eye in Peru…I’ll add a note of caution for anyone taking the early prices as they don’t sit right…
SPORT HUANCAYO VS. ACADEMIA CANTOLAO (2345 KO):
Interesting prices here and both current and recent historic form doesn’t dictate such a big price disparity with the hosts as short as 1/3 for the win.
From what I can gather, not many if any International squad duty players come from Cantolao with the majority of Peruvian stars either picked from the domestic giants Lima or Cristal with the rest dotted around the Germanic/European leagues.
Perhaps there is something peripheral that I’ve missed and will check out the spartan social media sites later for any pointers.
