THE day started well with a few pints of Belhaven and ended with some nice Edinburgh Gin – and in between my Super Single won.
It's nearly Christmas so that meant another day out and there are only two to go.
From a betting viewpoint Hoffenheim beat Stuttgart to land the Super Single and I could have covered the btts treble but let it run and unfortunately Newcastle didn't score. What happened to the late goal at Newcastle, Greg?
Everton and Leicester not to lose were easy winners for the treble but a lack of goals at Liverpool beat me.
Well done to all the winners including Greg and everyone who fancied goals at Hibs.
On Thursday there's not much on but in Holland it's Ajax v Excelsior and Heracles v Sparta Rotterdam while Porto tackle Guimaraes in the Portuguese Cup.
There is an FA Cup replay between Hereford and Fleetwood while Lazio face Cittadella in the Italian Cup.
It's a no-bet day for me and I've been concentrating on Saturday's card with a Super Single shortlist posted.

Must admit I was impressed with Barker, McGinn has been good but posted missing tonight Rest of the Hibs team is nothing special.
Murty has went to 4 of the hardest venues in two spells and got 10pts from 12, he is certainly getting the best out the squad.
Another big few games coming up but we are taking it one game at a time.

The thing to remember is Johnb is an extremely biased Hibs fan.
He always talks them up and most fans do so about their team.

To say there is a huge gulf Is ridiculous and sounds like sour grapes and I’m afraid he is making a fool of himself with that statement.
That ‘just a slack 5 minutes’ at the end if the 1st half is the difference between winning and losing, good teams don’t have those slack 5 minutes.
Arsenal have done this for years, supposedly outplaying teams possession and chance wise, but lacking the nous to turn that into wins when it matters.
To be fair to Johnb all reports say Hibs should have won – even Murty admits Rangers were lucky.
You have to remember he’s a fan and fans have unrealistic views.
However, saying there’s a huge gulf between Hibs and Rangers isn’t going to do him any favours after a defeat.

I see a few people have mentioned the Ajax game tonight. Looking into it a bit further, Excelsior clearly aren’t the greatest of teams but they have an extremely good away record, and have in fact scored in every away game this season (winning 4 out of 7).
Ajax are very likely to score a couple here with odds of only 1/8 to do so, so this bet hinges largely on Excelsior hitting the back of the net.
