Mr Fixit’s Top Tips: It’s all about goals in Europe

IT was all about goals in the Champions League last night with seven out of eight going over 2.5 so well done to anyone who profited.

I should have stuck to goals but did overs at Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar and took Real draw no bet instead of goals.

The 3-0 scoreline in PSG's favour suggests otherwise but I watched the game and Gareth Bale was unlucky to have a sizzler ruled out by VAR for handball and a second goal was disallowed over a tight offside call.

My slightly speculative Super Single of Bayern Munich to score a penalty was a loser as the Germans cruised to a 3-0 win over Red Star Belgrade.

We go from the Champions League to the Europa League and again goals should be the focus. I've posted a preview featuring the Celtic and Rangers' games and will add to it if I have time.

Man United, Arsenal and Wolves are also in action and plenty of big games and big teams involved but rather than pick WDW bets I'm also going for goals.

I've two trebles – one from the 5.55pm kick-offs and another from the later ones at 8pm.

Start with both to score at Rennes v Celtic and reasoning for that is on the preview post. Add btts at Eintracht v Arsenal and this is being widely tipped.

Arsenal are brilliant going forward but worse than the average boys' club at the back as they try to pass the ball out from almost the goal-line.

The tactic's cost them plenty in the Premier League and Eintracht will be on the lookout for it tonight. Complete a btts treble with PSV v Sporting – two sides who score plenty and while the Dutch are fairly solid defensively – just 26 conceded last season – they are likely to conceded against stronger opponents who have netted in four out of five away.

Other early games I like for goals are LASK v Rosenborg and Getafe v Trabzonspor.

Later start with Rangers v Feyenoord and again that's reasoned elsewhere. Add Porto v Young Boys with the Portuguese trying to make amends for their Champions League KO by Krasnodar.

Both sides score loads and while Porto are probably the better side there's every chance the Swiss champs will contribute to the goals tally. They have netted 20 in five games and kept just one clean sheet during that spell.

Complete the treble with Roma v Istanbul Basaksehir. Roma are brilliant going forward but like Arsenal can't defend at all and have conceded seven in their last four.

Other games I consider among the later kick-offs were Gent v St Etienne and Partizan Belgrade v AZ Alkmaar.
