IT was a night for goals on Wednesday and well done to all those who profited.
My 6-1 Premier League both to score treble landed but a perfect night was KOd by Rangers conceding a penalty that wasn't a penalty to bomb my Top Treble that also featured over 2.5 goals at Atalanta and Barcelona.
There were some incredible results including Atalanta 3, Juventus 0; Fiorentina 7, Roma 0; Bournemouth 4, Chelsea 0 and Barca 6, Sevilla 1 which gave the home men a 6-3 win on aggregate.
The Super Single was void as Steven Gerrard made more changes than expected and left out James Tavernier among eight changes.
Well done to all the winners on Wednesday including Scott and HullShaker on their posts while Greg was unlucky with his two bets.
Not much to look at tonight with Inter v Lazio in the Italian Cup and Girona v Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup with Real leading 4-2 from the first leg. I've decided to post a double to finish a disappointing month on a high.
Inter are in better form than Lazio and should win this tie but it could be tight so I'm taking Inter draw no bet and adding over 2.5 goals in the second leg between Girona and Real Madrid. Girona trail 4-2 and will attack a side resting a couple of players. All four meetings between the sides have gone over 2.5 goals so this is tip is based mainly on stats.
My January figures don't look good but I was going over the bets to see where I've gone wrong and it's such small margins. Last-minute goals beat me at least six times (I cashed most of them out but don't include those decisions in stats) and while the SS total shows a big deficit if my two big bets had been winners I'd have been in the black.
Aberdeen's failure to beat Stenny meant my stakes were refunded instead of winning 15 points and Andy Murray's brave fight against Robert Bautista Agut – after he trailed 2-0 and a break in the Australian Open – lost me a total of 11 points.
Betting's not about ifs and buts and I've always said you need some luck and hopefully I'll have better fortune in February.

These two clubs did some good signings this window. Willem II have added Renatio Tapia from Feyenoord and Dortmund striker Alexander Isak on loan. Groningen added Bel Hassani and Bruns to the squad who both already made an impact on the style of play.

Indeed a sparse card today, however a few games stand out given H2H’s and recent form. Take Lazio, they were very unlucky not to get something from the Juve game, were far more dominant. Inter are favourites in this cup tie but I do see Lazio at least scoring. If last night’s Italian Cup games are anything to go by there should well be goals in this fixture.
Expect Union Berlin to continue their scoring home form, but the visitors have a goal in their locker and whilst it’ll likely be a close call, I expect both teams to bag.
Real lead 4-2 from the first leg of the Cup, and Girona at home have nothing to lose so expecting them to score whilst facing retaliation from Madrid.
