WELL done to everyone who profited on the EFL Cup games which were as difficult as usual to call with the likes of Cardiff, Huddersfield, Leeds and Aston Villa being surprised.
Nathan did particularly well with Derby hammering Hull 4-0 and he's already tipped the Rams to win at 8-5 when the sides meet again in the Championship at the weekend.
Jordan advised West Ham at Wimbledon and also put up winning Swedish tips. Greg was a goal short on his EFL Cup fourfold and my goals treble produced two out of three with Dynamo Kiev v Ajax letting me down.
There are four more EFL Cup ties tonight – Everton v Rotherham, Millwall v Plymouth, Nottingham Forest v Newcastle and Reading v Watford. Again most teams will rotate but there should be wins for Everton and Watford while Forest could surprise a Newcastle outfit who usually sacrifice cup runs for league survival.
Elsewhere there are another three Champions League play-offs with PAOK level 1-1 at home to Benfica, PSV taking a 3-2 lead against BATE back to Holland and Salzburg v Red Star Belgrade locked at 0-0. A chance of three home wins here.
Not much else to look and I've decided on a bet similar to last night with both scoring at PAOK v Benfica and PSV v BATE. It's a tough place to go for Benfica but they are attack-minded side and they need a goal. Same goes for BATE who can't sit back.
Complete the treble with over 2.5 goals at Everton. The Toffees will make a raft of changes but have enough in reserve to put away a struggling Rotherham.

Summary:
AALESUND currently sit top of the pile and are being led by a manager in the form of Lars Bohinen, who took up Sandefjord from Div 1 by playing open attacking football. In similar style his current club have netted 19 on the road, only failing once to score in those 9 fixtures.
JERV currently sit mid table having popped up with 13 goals, not nowt to shout about, but ignoring their first ‘tight’ four fixtures the following five have seen them net 10, one of those producing a ‘blank game’ against a mean Sogndal outfit.
In regards to conceding goals, the league leaders have only kept one clean sheet thus far, conceding 10 in their nine away days. As for Jerv, again ignoring those first four home games, their games appear to have ‘flowed more freely’ conceding 7 in five matches, against sides mid table or below.
Hoping these stats will lead to goals, coupled with JERV chance of moving up the table (just outside the play off positions) with a win, and AALESUND looking to get back to winning ways after losing again to ‘bogey side’ Nest Sotra!
