WELL done to everyone who profited on the EFL Cup games which were as difficult as usual to call with the likes of Cardiff, Huddersfield, Leeds and Aston Villa being surprised.

Nathan did particularly well with Derby hammering Hull 4-0 and he's already tipped the Rams to win at 8-5 when the sides meet again in the Championship at the weekend.

Jordan advised West Ham at Wimbledon and also put up winning Swedish tips. Greg was a goal short on his EFL Cup fourfold and my goals treble produced two out of three with Dynamo Kiev v Ajax letting me down.

There are four more EFL Cup ties tonight – Everton v Rotherham, Millwall v Plymouth, Nottingham Forest v Newcastle and Reading v Watford. Again most teams will rotate but there should be wins for Everton and Watford while Forest could surprise a Newcastle outfit who usually sacrifice cup runs for league survival.
Elsewhere there are another three Champions League play-offs with PAOK level 1-1 at home to Benfica, PSV taking a 3-2 lead against BATE back to Holland and Salzburg v Red Star Belgrade locked at 0-0. A chance of three home wins here.
Not much else to look and I've decided on a bet similar to last night with both scoring at PAOK v Benfica and PSV v BATE. It's a tough place to go for Benfica but they are attack-minded side and they need a goal. Same goes for BATE who can't sit back.
Complete the treble with over 2.5 goals at Everton. The Toffees will make a raft of changes but have enough in reserve to put away a struggling Rotherham.

    • micky belfast 5 months ago

Fraser what sort of points u use mate for your bets? It would be good to see to see how confident you are with your picks.

      • fraser51 5 months ago

Points/Stake i included a few years ago but it starts getting messy if you are not on top of it.

        Normally accas are £10/£15/£20 stakes.

Singles/Doubles/Trebles or banker accas at shorter odds can be up to £150

Inplay cards is my main source of profit, which can be up to a few hundred, but cant post these ‘live’ on the site.

For example the single on rangers is £15, yes we can go there and win, it is good odds of 11/2 but i have backed it more in loyalty than expectancy.

Compared to the Lafferty card bet for Hearts v Celtic, i had £125 on at 13/5.

As i said it starts getting messy but if anyone has a genuine interest in my stakes/profit/loss then send me a message on here or twitter where i can send screenshots.

Hi guys. Hope everyone is well. See the usual suspects are still dishing out the winners, well done.
Sorry to learn johnb is gone but with the rubbish I seen
Today on horse thread I can see why ?

Anyone hope everyone is ok and just a single from myself tonight and that is the benfica game to have 2-3 goals at evens £50 on

Also a mention to macca for some of his bets recently as I have been following him (Norwich bet) and hull and Jordan and past few weeks made a few quid and the 2/1 on Gais (Sweden) yesterday also made me happy as did Ayr (mr f) at weekend.

    Everton v Rotherham

Everton’s backups are much stronger than Rotherham’s main team. New transfers like Zouma and Digne can start at 11, along with the youngsters who were promising in the last few seasons. Rotherham has defensive problems while no difficulties in achieving goals that can be bonus to help score-line against rotatory Everton. I do not expect a surprise here.

    Everton – 1
Everton win & over 2.5 goals

    Millwall v Plymouth
sure we will see many changes in Millwall’s squad but for the next round..

    Millwall qualify

    Morning lads
Now i’m a big believer of when you see a big scoreline in the first leg of a European tie the second leg usually produces very little in terms of goals, but for this game i am going to put that belief to one side as i think Bate will have a right go here.
    Over 3.5 goals at 6/4(NAP)*****
    Over 4.5 goals at 10/3***
    Over 5.5 goals at 13/2
    Best of luck.

    Paok v Benfica
Btts and over 2.5 goals at 13/8
Benfica have to score it’s a simple as that and whilst i think they will win this game i do think PAOK will score one at least which should take the game overs.
    Best of luck

Fancy cards in this game but havent checked the market yet.

Probably worthwile keeping tabs on if a team needs a goal going into the last 10-15 there will be a few cards, happened last week.

Red Bull Salzburg v Partizan Belgrade
It’s a tricky one to call this after watching the first leg and what a bore-fest it was,Partizan kept the game tight, they are away from home now and for me if a first goal goes in then it will open up – it’s a risky one this one.
    Over 2.5 goals at 11/10
    Over 3.5 goals at 11/4
    Over 4.5 goals at 6/1.
    Best of luck

    JERV v AALESUND over 2.5 mgs 4/5.

AALESUND currently sit top of the pile and are being led by a manager in the form of Lars Bohinen, who took up Sandefjord from Div 1 by playing open attacking football. In similar style his current club have netted 19 on the road, only failing once to score in those 9 fixtures.

JERV currently sit mid table having popped up with 13 goals, not nowt to shout about, but ignoring their first ‘tight’ four fixtures the following five have seen them net 10, one of those producing a ‘blank game’ against a mean Sogndal outfit.

In regards to conceding goals, the league leaders have only kept one clean sheet thus far, conceding 10 in their nine away days. As for Jerv, again ignoring those first four home games, their games appear to have ‘flowed more freely’ conceding 7 in five matches, against sides mid table or below.

Hoping these stats will lead to goals, coupled with JERV chance of moving up the table (just outside the play off positions) with a win, and AALESUND looking to get back to winning ways after losing again to ‘bogey side’ Nest Sotra!

Good luck all with bets today ?

    Afternoon gents,

Yesterday was not a good day on the betting front but looking to make amends with a visit to a top of the table Urvalsdeild clash that has plenty of form…

This could be a cracker as a resurgent 2nd placed Stjarnan outfit play host to current front-runners Valur knowing that they could turn the tables with 3 points.

This will be the 18th time that the two sides have met in all competitions in just over 5 years and there has rarely been a quiet encounter during that lengthy spell; a staggering 94% of those H2H’s have seen both sides finding the net with 65% getting a big fat tick for btts/overs.

The majority of matches have been either 1-1 or 2-1 scorelines and that could be worth exploring whilst those fancying 4 or more could not that 50% of the last 6 within a 2 yesr spell have gone ‘over 3.5’.

Both sides are on fire and are looking like they will be to fighting out 1st and 2nd place come the season’s end – the impressive Briedablik may have the capacity to get involved but FH look way too susceptible at the back.

So, with plenty at stake and with each on scoring form everything points to action; Stjarnan have hit 2-2-2-2-4 in successive domestic games with Valur nailing the onion bag on 5-3 and 4 occassions.

Two selections look well worth a look with best prices from Bet365:

    BTTS & OVERS…5/6

    BTTS 2ND HALF…13/8

    Best of luck ?

You may recall his pace on the break for Mexico in the World Cup – especially the goal on the break to beat Germany. As BATE push forward looking for goals can see him having chances for PSV. Has 4 in last 4 and netted at BATE.

Skyrab that has a reasonable chance in the three C.L.Q.

1 + corner each team in each half
1 + goal in each half
10 + booking points each team in each game.
    40/1 . Worth a couple of quid .

  33. HullShaker 5 months ago

Rare that I’d post this and know I’m letting myself in for a kicking if it goes pear-shaped but those wily old bookmakers have the Stjaranan game on the drift – I won’t go into the whys or wherefores but I’m going for the double-bluff.

The straight BTTS price was 1/2 earlier in the day and now sits at 8/13 as a result of the price shift.

    I’m opposing here:

    Good luck ?

  34. skoosh26 5 months ago

I see this one going all the way potentially.
Benfica have had three 1-1 draws in last fortnight and pressure is on them to qualify but PAOK are no mugs after putting out Basel and Spartak Moscow.
Benfoca have a dreadful CL record having failed to win in 9/10 CL games, their last 7 have went under 2.5 goals.
Under 2.5 is 13/20 but I’m going to have a go at 1-1 correct score at 11/2. Either side to qualify on penalties is worth a quid at 25/1 each.

    Under 2.5 goals @ 13/20
    Correct score 1-1 @ 11/2
To qualify on penalties @ 25/1 (both sides are same price, I have a fancy for PAOK but at that price could have a quid on both)
    Good luck all
