In the early game Duncan Ferguson takes charge of Everton as he tries to revive the club at home to Chelsea and in the evening we are treated to Man City v Man United.

My Super Single comes from Scottish League Two and it's Annan to win at Stenhousemuir. Annan produced the result of the season last week when they thrashed leaders Cove 6-1 and before that lost 4-3 at second-placed Edinburgh City in the Scottish Cup.
Also they recently thrashed Brechin 5-2 so it's 14 goals in four games with the only blip being a 2-0 defeat at Stirling. Before beating bottom feeders Brechin last week Stenny had suffered five defeats in a row and conceded 16 in that spell.
Looks a high scorer with Annan coming out on top so you could add more risk with Annan and overs or Annan or both to score.
In the Daily Record my SS is Motherwell at home to Hearts and other main contenders were Chelsea, Airdrie at Raith and QoS at home to Partick Thistle.

I’m not betting on the main event because I just want to enjoy it but I’m taking Alexander Povetkin to defeat Michael Hunter at 7/4 Bet365 from the undercard. Although Povetkin is 40 years he is a crafty guy with extensive amateur and professional experience. He’s capable of throwing shots from a variety of angles, throwing punches in bunches, utilizing feints and has power.to go with it all. Michael Hunter is a decent heavyweight contender but I feel Povetkin is a level above him and has the tools to beat him. Povetkin has put on high level performances in this late period of his career, notably giving Joshua a difficult fight, totally outclassing Hughie Fury and Butally knocking out David Price and with the world watching tonight I’m favoring him to get the w.
Also a bit later on (don’t know what state I’ll be in by then lol) Matvey Korobov to defeat Chris Eubank Jr 2/1 Bet365. Didn’t realise it was today but simply put anyone who can box with discipline behind a jab will give Eubank Jr problems. Korobov has an excellent amateur pedigree and is a technical southpaw fighter who’s bound to give Eubank Jr problems. Eubank Jr is full of energy and aggression but I cant see how he’ll get on the inside – Korobov will probably keep him on the end of the jab and smash left crosses into his face at will.

Just a note for folks re Motherwell… they had to send some of the lads home this week with a flu bug.
I read that but Robinson hasn’t named names and says one or two will be affected and he’ll have a strong team out.
For me it’s about how Hearts react – they’ve got to do much better than recent performances.
It’s doubtful I’m going to be awake for the Derby team news, but then again, I doubt the games result is likely to a Ramsfest.
Having not won away since the opening day of the season, my beloved Derby have the honour of being one of the worst travelling sides in the 2nd tier.
Blackburn have either won 3 of 4 or 4 of 5 when hosting Derby and even though Blackburn are not exactly setting the league alight, their head to head against Derby + the rams being travel shy is a recipe for a Blackburn win. I think we’ve also only scored 7 away from home all season. We cannot play away from home this season and we’re also one of the worst teams in the league at conceding from set pieces. The bane of our game for too many seasons now.
I know that no game is a rubber stamp, but nobody can argue that Blackburn win @ 10/11 bet365 has every chance of landing. I’m sure there are bookies that maybe give you evens or even better if you poke around. Given how dreadful we are away from home, attacking and scoring on the road, those wishing to add a bit of extra to your bet should take a look around for a Blackburn win to nil price. Currently priced at 12/5 with bet365. Again, I’d expect there to be a few bookies that might be a bit more generous.

Expecting Altrincham to put in a good performance away at table-dwellers Bradford PA. Alty were incredibly unlucky to lose in the FA Cup away at Portsmouth, they deserved at least a replay, but conceded a 94th minute goal with the last kick of the game to lose 2-1.
This is exactly the game they need to bounce back from and I can see them putting a few away against Bradford PA.
Add to that Fulham’s excellent home scoring record against a fairly leaky Bristol City, and Liverpool should be good for at least 2 goals away at Bournemouth to complete the treble.

I have to say that sometimes I watch macca’s Comments and agree. He was right about Everton, he was RIGHT about Man United. Not straight away, but he Recognised Everton and Man Utd were good teams on there day, even when Man U and Everton looked useless, that’s Knowlegde and that’s knowing the strengths of certain teams and going against the grain, most of all it’s Knowing our game. Bets are picked for tomorrow and I’ll post them on the mornings thread but I’m highlighting this 1 just now as 1- I can’t believe the price and 2- I can’t see it staying that big for too long. Might be a bit of the tinted specs on here but I believe Newcastle are too big for over 1.5tgs. Last 5 games we’ve scored 2 away to sheff u (1 of tightest defences in prem,) 2 against city, 2 against Bournemouth, 3 against West Ham with the blank coming away to villa. Yes you could say none of those teams were in top form, but neither are Southampton and all of them are above the saints in the league. Yip, after playing most of the top sides early on in season (5 of the “big 6” plus Leicester in 6 of our first 8 games)we seem to have settled into some not bad form.
