WE'RE moving in to the closing stages in the Scottish Football Leagues – and as always we have been doing our homework looking to bring home a winning treble.

It’s been proving difficult to come up with a successful coupon in recent weeks with one team usually allowing well-priced trebles to collapse.

But that hasn’t put us off and as always we have been doing our homework as we attempt to have punters crying tears of joy and bookies crying into their pints.

This week we are not holding back as we really look to cash in on some decent selections.

We kick offin the Irn-Bru First Division and a team who can do us no wrong these weeks – Ross County.

The Dingwall men are almost certainties to be playing SPL football next season after racing into a 15-point lead at the top of Division One. And they head into this weekend’s clash with Partick Thistle at Firhill a massive 21 points ahead of the Jags.

County are unbeatean in their last six matches and will be confident of picking up another three points after running out 1-0 winners in their last trip to face the Jags. Go for a win for Derek Adam’s side at 11-10, widely available with firms including  Betfred, Stan James, Ladbrokes and Coral.

We move on to the Irn-Bru Second Division and East Fife’s tricky away trip to face Brechin. Last week in Gordon Durie’s first game in charge of the Fifers they stunned Dumbarton by thrashing the Sons 4-0 away from home.

They are now only thee points off a place in the end-of-season play-offs and travel to face a Brechin outfit they are a single point ahead of in the table.

I reckon the Fifers can carry on from their stunning success under their new manager and take all three points against a side they have defeated in the last three meetings between the clubs. Take the Fifers as a surprise selection in this week’s treble at 19-10 with William Hill.

Finally we finish up with league leaders Alloa’s home clash with Queen’s Park. Both teams have been going well in recent weeks with Alloa winning their last four matches while the Spiders sit in second spot – although they are nine points behind this weekend’s hosts.

Alloa ran out 1-0 winners at Recreation Park in the last battle of the clubs and once again I am tipping them to take all three points. Go for an Alloa triumph at 11-10 with Blue Square, BetVictor, William Hill and 888 sport.
