BACKERS of favourites got off to a flyer on Saturday with Partick Thistle the only Betfred Cup jolly not to win.
I started the season well with two wins out of three – a 13-2 fivefold and 13-10 Super Single.
The second group matches are played tonight and teams such as Dundee and Hearts make their bow.
Once again I'm putting up a moneyback fivefold and focusing on odds-on favourites. My favoured five are all away from home and pays 6-1 at sportingbet.
Let's start with Hearts whose boss Ian Cathro has rebuilt the squad during the summer adding the likes of experienced duo Christophe Berra and Kyle Lafferty.
Hearts beat Linfield 4-1 away and were narrowly defeated by Newcastle at Tynecastle so should be ready to go.
Elgin were pummelled 6-0 at Dunfermline at the weekend and face another heavy defeat. Hearts are no bigger than 1-4 at sportingbet so consider them -1 at 4-6.
Dunfermline had Nicky Clark to thank for their excellent start as he hit four against Elgin and he'll be eyeing up more goals at New Bayview. The Pars are 3-4 at Betway to notch their second Group B victory and 19-10 with McBookie to win by at least two.
Dundee get the ball rolling at Raith who we have to remember are now a League One side. They lost 2-0 at Dundee United and are set to complete a Tayside double to forget. Neil McCann's side are a best 4-5 at McBookie.
Inverness and Ross County also opened with three points and can make it six at Stirling and Montrose respectively. ICT are 2-5 at McBookie to triumph at Forthbank while County are 4-11 with sportingbet at Montrose who were humbled 4-0 at Hibs.
If you're not content with 6-1 consider adding Morton at home to Queen's Park and QoS at home to East Kilbride to take it to 13-1.
