WILLIAM HILL have reported a significant gamble on Roger Federer to beat Rafa Nadal in the semi-final of the Australian Open on Friday morning.
As a result the Swiss star has been cut from 6-4 to 5-4 with Nadal the 8-13 favourite.
When these two meet you are often in for a five-set thriller and it is 5-2 the semi-final goes the whole way.
Hills spokesman Rupert Adams said: “Federer looked back to his best when beating Andy Murray and coupled with the Nadal blister – he is the man our customers are keen to back.”

WAWRINKA TO BEAT NADAL
Wawrinka is an amazing bet and as a great chance – the reasons are he is much better now – much improved and his coach Magnus Norman who masterminded Robin Soderlings victory over Nadak in 2009 at the French Open (the only man to ever beat Nadal at the French)
What Soderlinng did and Warwinaka will try to do is HIT NADAL OFF COURT – the only way to beat him.And critically Wawronka believes he can and has the shots and power to do it.
Nadals topsin and rallies are a terrible match up for Fading and Aging Federer despite his resurgence but Wawrinka matches up well he is capable of soaking up the rallies and hitting the high topsin winners from all over the court esp his back hand – he can Dominate NADAL which gives him a chance more like to 2/1 not 9/2
Probably one of the greatest 9/2 shots of the year.
