DESMOND landed a dynamite double last week and is hoping to go on a nice run.
From his shortlist he's picked out two teams to score 2+ and I wish him the best of luck.
He says: Two teams I like the look of this Saturday are Man United and Cardiff. I don't normally touch the Premier League but Ladbrokes' offer on United to score 2+ looks appealing at 11-10.
Southampton have conceded seven goals in their last four away games (all losses) and I fancy United to push on after an indifferent first half to their season. Their win at Liverpool on Sunday was a massive boost after a much more attacking display in a 3-3 draw at Newcastle.
Next up are a Cardiff side at home to Rotherham. After last week's superb 3-1 away win at Wolves and seven goals scored in their last four home games I can also see Cardiff pushing on further up the league.
Again Ladbrokes' offer on the home side to score 2+ appeals at 11-10. Rotherham's away form is poor with nine goals conceded in their last four away games (all losses).
Desmond's Double
Man United to score 2+
Cardiff to score 2+
3pts at 7-2, Ladbrokes
I like that Desmond I’m on good luck
Robbie c, cheers
In my opinion that’s a bold double.Southampton could easily do Man.u. and Rotherham are on a bit of a revival are they not ? Man.c to score 2 at W.ham looks a better call.
alva glen, again compare the prices – it’s much easier picking short odds than it is putting up value which he is trying to do.
Also the results doesn’t matter – it’s just goals that count,
Good luck Desmond but I’ve sworn off Man Utd this season and though they beat Liverpool , I thought they were very lucky.
Utd one seems strange, you need to create chances and have shots on target to score goals and that is something that can’t be guaranteed with Utd. I like the Cardiff selection but I will be adding Everton who should be capable of putting at least a couple past Swansea
scotta83, Desmond always look for value so probably wouldn’t consider Everton. And he puts up two Saturday selections.
They’ve been better and more attacking in the last couple of games so it has a chance.
Being a United fan I hope your right with the Man United to score 2+ but I’d be cautious, will probably be 0-0 or 1-1.
Good luck
Got to agree – Utd don’t look good for goals at the moment. Sunderland – Bournemouth looks a better bet.
Gents, thanks for comments, opinions etc, I do like the price of Man utd to score 2+goals especially when there chasing top 4finish or even title whereas Southampton eoropa league spot, and Cardiff play off spot against relegation threatened Rotherham. Each to their own. Anyway off to Watford v Newcastle tomorrow and will probably back a goal after 70 mins! (I know GB they are away from home!) good luck whatever you’re on tomorrow. Desmond
desmond, enjoy the game. Greg and I going to Clydebank v Maybole although for some reason he thinks we’re off to Celtic v St Johnstone.
Burton to score 2+ at home to Shrewsbury might be something @ 4/5
