PLENTY of temptation closer to home this evening but I’m heading to The Estadio Municipal Keylor Navas Gamboa – home of Costa Rican side Perez Zeledon.
PÉREZ ZELEDÓN v CARMELITA (8.15pm)
There’s nothing sweet about Carmelita’s away form and it’s in stark contrast to Zeledon’s own run of 7 unbeaten matches culminating in 4 straight wins.
The hosts have won 6, drawn 2 and lost just 1 at home over a 9 match spell and can leapfrog San Carlos into 3rd place with a victory tonight as the Primera season draws to a close.
As mentioned, Carmelita can’t hold a match to that and their away form has been their downfall having conceded 2-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-2-4-3-2 goals in 12 successive games on the road.
H2H-wise, Zeledon have hit 1-3-2-2 team goals in the last 4 meetings in San Isidro and I reckon there’s a fair chance of them grabbing a brace again this evening.

Corby may be the lower side of late but they are flying high at the top of their table having hit 3-5-6-2-2-2 team goals intheir last successive 6 matches at home – hard to think they won’t net here and with Brackley’s last 6 games seeing 4-2-2-5-3-5 match goals, it could be an interesting 90 minutes with the away side hot favourites!
