Who Dares Wins Again at Newbury

It’s an exciting day of racing today, particularly for me because I have a small share in a horse called Legal History who runs in one of the summer Juno’s highlights – the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen. He should run well on his first run after a wind op and I’m really looking forward to it although it’s an incredibly deep race.

I have four selections today including one in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen, two at Newmarket and one at Newbury.

In the 2.05pm at Newmarket I am drawn to ANANYA who is having just her second run. She went into the notebook after her debut where she finished a fair 3rd. This step up in trip will suit and the winner of that debut race won again yesterday which is a boost to the form.

My second selection runs in the 2.25pm at Newbury which is a competitive long distance flat handicap. WHO DARES WINS was brilliant in the Northumberland Plate last time and is such a consistent horse on the flat and over hurdles.  He should be much shorter in the market for this in my opinion and with various bookies paying 5 places we can take advantage.

DAME MALLIOT is a fascinating runner for me in the 2.40pm at Newmarket. This is just her 3rd run on the racecourse which makes her less exposed than most in the race and what makes her even more interesting is her run last time out. She finished second in a competitive field despite running quite green and going three wide round each bend. If Hollie Doyle can settle her down today in a nice position I think she could go really well at big odds.

The 3.20pm at Market Rasen is hugely competitive but ROYAL VILLAGE has so much going for him. He is a course and distance winner who is still unexposed as a chaser. I am happy to ignore his last run at Perth and can see him running a huge race today for master trainer Ian Williams.
