THERE'S some decent jumps action over at Southwell today where I have two selections and I have another jumps horse that I fancy running on the flat at Ffos Las.
MR MAFIA (2.20 Southwell) looks like one to keep on side today as he returns to chasing after a great summer running over hurdles. He is 10lb lower in the handicap over fences today and if he should be able to take advantage.
Later on the card my eye is drawn to EXITAS (4.20 Southwell), an old pal who owes me nothing over the last few years. He was a decent second last time out against Chieftain’s Choice and I would fancy him to flip that form around with Chieftain’s Choice carrying extra weight today. The Jam Man is the other main danger but he has also picked up extra weight for recent wins and I fancy EXITAS to return to the winners enclosure today.
My third and final pick for the day is in the evening meeting at Ffos Las where IMPULSIVE AMERICAN (7.00 Ffos Las) is a fascinating prospect back running in a flat handicap after two years. He had a good run over hurdles this summer will stay the trip no problem and could be very well placed to take advantage of this mark.
