I have four selections on Saturday all of which run at Cheltenham and are live on ITV Racing.
It might be an obvious selection but I think that ALLMANKIND is a worthy favourite here and should take a lot of beating. The Skelton team are in fine form at the moment and the horse has run well after a break before so the fact that this is his seasonal debut shouldn’t be a concern.
It’s not too often that I will tip two short ones in a row but PILEON looks like he has a cracking chance in the novice chase. He is a class above the rest of these in my opinion and I would make him clear favourite.
This handicap looks like it should be really competitive and there were quite a few on my shortlist. The best value I think comes in the shape of CHAMPAGNE COURT who is on a very handy hurdles mark and started off last season’s campaign with a good 2nd over hurdles in a decent grade 1 race.
Frodon will do very well to give weight away to this field on seasonal debut and I think the value lies elsewhere. CLOTH CAP was 9-1 when I tipped him up on the Gambla Racing Podcast on Thursday night and is a bit shorter now but I think he is still a bit of each way value. He is a solid staying chaser who probably had his best performance when finishing 3rd in the Scottish National in 2019. He gets good ground again today and I can see him running well.
