Saturdays are always tough to find winners, so to find a 16/1 winner in the bumper at Kelso was great to see.
Is This For Real was a nice winner for the Fergal O'Brien under a very cool Liam Harrison. There was some money around for my selection and it proved to be correct, and it was justice for me as I put him up on Boxing Day where he was very weak in the market and ran very flat.

Yes Day – Exeter 4.13
I think I have put up Yes Day on a couple of occasions and both times he didn't win for me, but he did manage to win last time out, which was frustrating but that's how betting on horse racing goes sometimes.
I am keeping the faith in the Jonjo O'Neill trained runner in this national race, as I've always had plenty of liking for this horse. I've always believed he was ahead of the handicapper and today's trip should be ideal for him. He will be fine on the ground and the added distance is what this horse has wanted for a while as 3m is simply too short for him, with the best part of his performances coming late in the races and he runs out of track to chase them down who are in front of him.
He has only been put up 5lbs by the handicapper for the recent win, but that shouldn't be enough if he is on his A-Game. He is definitely ahead of the handicapper, and even though this is another hard task against some horses who are proven at the track and proven over the distance, he is unexposed as a staying chaser and I think he will be too good.
