It was a losing day on Saturday as Miranda could only manage 2nd place. I missed the race and have been unable to get a replay to comment on what happened. It’s disappointing as a tipper when you tip short and come out short but that’s racing on paper she looked the one to beat.
I’ve just the one selection for Sunday to end the weekend and fingers crossed we can get something from it.
I’ve gone for an each way bet from the 2:20 race at Fontwell.
2:20 Fontwell
Eight run in this so I thought to take the selection each way as betting firms will be paying the usual 3 places.
I was surprised to see Finnegans Garden marked up at 9s as I feel he should be a good bit shorter than that.
He may be an ol' boy now at the age of 13 but he’s definitely more than capable of making his presence felt at this sort of level and he’s getting a handy 6lb from current market favourite En Coeur.
I think there’s a good few question marks on the rest of the field. Maasai Warrior who’s marked up at 3s does have ability but is massively inconsistent and has been pulled up 3 times on his last 5 runs.
Passing Secrets takes quite a significant drop in trip and whether that will suit is yet to be seen. Most of the rest have all pulled up on previous starts so all have something to prove.

Winner was always going the best Cairnzy and best of all Bryony usually rides the mare.

Thanks for your comments. I’m subscribed to the Racing TV app so I’m able to watch the replays on the meetings they cover. I will definitely have a look into them other options for the other meetings.
