Saturday’s Free Racing Tips: Our Jet Can Shoot Clear at Sandown!

It was nice to get a winner today, which was slightly dampened by the rule 4. Nonetheless it was a winning selection and that’s all that matters.

Another competitive day of racing tomorrow and this will be my last selection till the Cheltenham festival.

Sandown 1:50

This race is as competitive as they come. It’s worth noting before even looking at the card that the previous 14 winners of this have all had official ratings between 122 and 132.

Our Jet falls into the bottom end of those ratings with the handicapper giving him an opening mark of only 122.

Now straight away I thought that was on the lenient side and I think the handicapper may have over looked Our Jet's potential.

He’s ran over 2m and up to 2m5f so the trip of 2m3f will be no problem as he stays the trip very well and I think he’ll be suited by the track at Sandown.

I was massively impressed by his previous couple of runs at Wetherby, especially his most recent run at the start of February where he stormed up the straight and won quite nicely.

The form of that previous race is also working out quite well. He beat Rebecca Menzies' Raffertys Return who’s since gone on and won again.

There’s no doubt this is a tough race to be entered into on handicap debut but I think he holds every chance.
