Today was my debut on the new Gambla racing podcast where we discussed all of today's races that feature live on ITV Racing and I picked out my 5 best tips of the day.

Give it a listen here:

The recurring theme is the soft ground all across the country.  Most of these flat horses won't have encountered ground this soft before so bear that in mind before you get too involved with any horses that you fancy today.

EVA MARIA (1.40pm Newmarket) was 11-2 yesterday when she caught my eye so most of the juice has gone from her price now but I still think she has a strong chance and the market support is encouraging.

I'm having an each way punt at a big price on KEEP BUSY (2.15pm Newmarket) who will enjoy the conditions today and is a bit of value at a big price with extra places on offer.

At Ascot I like MORANDO (2.35pm Ascot) who thrives in these conditions and is a class above most of his rivals so should justify favouritism.

My bet of the day is probably GLASVEGAS (2.55pm Redcar) in the valuable Two Year Old Trophy where a big chunk of the field just aren't good enough so we can get some each way value on Glasvegas who will enjoy the soft ground and is in great form.

In the big handicap at Ascot I like my old pal Escobar and also think that Summerghand will go close but the best value bet is QAYSAR (3.10pm Ascot) who is in fine form, will be happy on the soft ground and can put previous poor performances at Ascot behind him with a big run at a massive price.

Good luck to everyone for Saturday's racing!
