What a brilliant days racing we have on Saturday. I’m really looking forward to seeing Frodon run! My all time favourite for sure.
My first selection is Paisley Park
2:30 Wetherby
I was super surprised to see Paisley Park marked up at 2/1 for this race. He’s an odds on shot in my eyes. He was pulled up last time out at Aintree but it was clear before the race even started that the track was never going to suit him.
Prior to that he ran a nice 3rd in the Stayers at Cheltenham and also beat the very talented and consistent Thyme Hill.
Master Tommy Tucker is another one I like however you never know what you are going to get with him sometimes. If he stays and transforms his chase form he’ll be thereabouts.
2:50 Down Royal
Frodon… what a complete warrior of a horse!
Rachel Blackmore rides the market leader Minello Indo who is a deserved market leader but at even money there isn’t really much value there.
Frodon was actually put up at 4s and the money has came which is always a good sign (most of the time). I think Frodon could drift slightly overnight but I wouldn’t let that put you off if you fancy taking on the short priced favourite.
Bryony Frost gets a proper nice tune out of this horse. No jumps tomorrow, however he jumps like a champion and he certainly stays the trip well. Bryony will more than likely attempt to take them all from the front. I hope she doesn’t give Minella a lead because if Rachel Blackmore gets into the flow of things it could be curtains.
