I'M BACK after an extended festive break and can't wait to get stuck in to the racing on Saturday. I have tips for all 7 ITV races and despite the small fields for some of the races there is some good value to be had.
All tips are discussed on the Gambla podcast and you can have a listen here:
My tips for Saturday are as follows:
I think MAGIC OF LIGHT should be favourite having won the race last year and running with credit this year too. She should have the touch of class needed to win the race again.
STOLEN SILVER is a progressive horse who will enjoy the ground and looks decent value to me.
I like SONG FOR SOMEONE in this competitive race. He will like the ground and provided that all 8 runners hold their ground he is good each way value.
Conditions should be ideal for GERONIMO in a gruelling race over 3m2f on heavy ground. He is in good form and should go well whilst there are question marks over others.
The each way bet against the field for me is SAM'S ADVENTURE who is improving and carries a low weight which will be useful. Espoir De Guye and Happy Diva have obvious chances but the value bet is Sam's Adventure for me, especially with 7lb claimer Jack Tudor on board.
I am surprised that CORNERSTONE LAD is the outsider of the field with some bookies. He would be close to favourite in my book given his excellent win last time out in the Fighting Fifth. His form is rock solid and the heavy ground is another point in his favour. He should be much shorter in the betting.
This is a straight fight between UN DE SCEAUX and Defi Du Seuil and I'm siding with the old timer. He will enjoy the ground more than Defi and is a bigger price. Should be a cracking race to watch.
