SATURDAY brings some great racing from Cheltenham and Donny and the highlight is actually the first televised race – the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup from Cheltenham.
Most of my thoughts can be found on the Gambla Racing Podcast so give it a listen:
My tips are summarised here:
1.55pm Cheltenham
I was surprised to see CLONDAW CASTLE at a double figure price given his recent form and I think he'll go very well.
2.10pm Doncaster
WINDSOR AVENUE is probably just shading favouritism at the moment and I think it should be clear favourite. His two recent outings over fences have been much better than Sam Spinner's who looks vulnerable.
2.3opm Cheltenham
I was quite impressed with VALTOR‘s win over hurdles last time and it will be interesting to see how this 10 year old gets on against a better standard of young noise hurdlers. I think he can win this.
3.05pm Cheltenham
ELIXIR DE NUTZ should be a shorter price in my book. He has course and distance form before his injury and looked like a class act. He looks a good each way bet to me.
3.40pm Cheltenham
The mare's handicap hurdle is the last race of the day and I think it can go to QUEENS CAVE who looks like she has plenty of improvement still to come and is in ideal hands with David Pipe.
